Labrador Tea (Ledum palustre) in the woods on a hill above the Matanuska River. WIldflowers of the Alaska Highway by Verna E. Pratt says "The ledum genus contains "ledol", a poison causing cramps and acting as a diuretic. A tasty tea is made of the leaves, but should be taken sparingly at first, until the system adjusts to its effects."
Carefree - that's the way kids should be! Reminds me of when I was little and rode my own bike on the promenade. Taken with a Yashica Mat and Ektacolor 100.
Tilly is a very smart and friendly lab mix, but she's been at the shelter for some time. Maybe it's because she weighs in at 105 pounds.
