This is for all you hard working gardeners out there who make our parks and gardens so beautiful - thank you!

In Belgium Labour Day falls on 1st May, International Workers' Day, and the Lily of the Valley with its delicate scent is its symbolic flower.

This year Labour Day is not like other years: no demonstrations, and not the real day-off feeling for most people, since most of us have been at home for several weeks now. Most people would LOVE to return to work!

Seeing that it's back to school week, it seems appropriate to post an image of some pilots who've got a degree in "Higher Learning" with their Harvard monoplanes!

The Harvard was created over 60+ years ago to train pilots

for light bombing, gunnery, night formations and aerobatics.

Still well maintained, these 4 incredible pilots put the planes through their manoeuvres at the recent 2017 Canadian International Air Show!

Cirrus radiatus, high-altitude clouds composed entirely of ice crystals, giving them a bright white, wispy, and hair-like appearance. The parallel bands stretching across the sky are formed by strong, high-altitude winds (often associated with the jet stream) that pull the ice crystals into long, distinct streaks.

...and the work starts early down on the farm. This was snapped just as the sun came over the hill.

Labour Day is a day off work, and this time, I decided to drive around the Croatia-Slovenia border countryside. We've ended in Ozalj, a town on the Kupa River, with a castle/fortress built on a cliff above the Kupa River.

Taken with an ancient (and unmodified) Pentax K100D Super digital camera and smc Pentax-DA 18–55mm F3.5–5.6 AL II kit lens, through an infrared filter.
