labels made using iron on printer paper and twill tape
image made using GIMP free download image manipulation software, reversed and a copy of the image inserted onto a word document for printing -
twill tap 1" wide and I got about 40+ simple strip labels off one sheet of printable iron on paper
My very insightful friend Matt observed recently: "All of your humor involves puns!"... I suppose he has a point. Anyway, I tried to play it but it was badly out of tune and I could only manage a few sour notes.

I didn't iron the raw edges under on the labels I sewed on, and then I zig-zag stitched, and some of the edges frayed right out of the thread with the first wash. I think this problem wouldn't present itself if I had ironed. I just totally forgot that step.
