DUNRAVEN PASS IS THE HIGHEST ROAD IN YELLOWSTONE. IT WAS CLOSED TWO YEARS FOR MAINTENANCE. WE WERE LUCKY TO HAPPEN UPON IT THE FIRST DAY IT WAS OPENED TO THE PUBLIC. IT HAD BEEN SNOWING A LOT THE PREVIOUS DAYS AND THE DRIVING WAS RATHER TREACHEROUS. THE WEATHER TURNED BAD AGAIN THE NIGHT WE DROVE IT AND IT WAS CLOSED FOR THE REMAINDER OF OUR VISIT.

A nostalgic camper I saw this summer

THIS COYOTE EMERGED FROM THE SAGEBRUSH FOR A MOMENT AND THEN TURNED LEFT AND DISAPPEARED FOR GOOD.

THE WILLIS TOWER (FORMERLY THE SEARS TOWER) ON THE LEFT IS 108 STORIES HIGH.....311 SOUTH WACKER ON THE RIGHT IS 65 STORIES HIGH.

This hydrant is at the base of a huge water tower. The tower is to be painted, inside and out. Although the tower was not nearly full, well over 250,000 gallons of water were drained and spilled onto the streets of our neighborhood. This single hydrant handled all of it......took all day.
