LUISS Business School welcomes MBA students, November 9, 2015

On March 12, a delegation of Harvard students met LUISS Business School MBA students at Villa Blanc. An opportunity to connect with different perspectives on education and leadership, and to deepen the differences in Corporate Governance between Europe and the USA.

Gli studenti EMBA hanno avuto l’opportunità di incontrare Ernesto Miraglia-Regional Director Asia Pacific, Damiani group; Rosario Pedicini - General Manager Shanghai China, Intesa Sanpaolo; Amedeo Celori, Partner at Grandway Law Offices e di visitare due realtà aziendali come Volkswagen/General Motors e Baosteel. Un intenso programma di attività che ha visto alternarsi momenti di aula sulle strategie di market entry e le opportunità/sfide che la realtà cinese offre alle company straniere, incontri con top manager italiani in Cina e company visits con l’obiettivo di approfondire i temi di cross-cultural management e doing business abroad.

On March 9 Part – time #LUISSMBA students took on a Case History in the FMCG Industry in which they experienced the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology to improve the procurement function in a global organization. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a facilitation method, halfway between education and consultation and suitable to develop activities such as problem solving, strategic thinking, efficient communication and team identity, using LEGO® buffers.

Among the LUISS Business School ERSHub (Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability Hub) activities, on November 10 MBA students had the chance to delve into sustainability issues with Caroline Kaeb (University of Connecticut, Human Rights Institute) Assistant Professor in Business & Human Rights that held a lecture about the United Nations Sustainable Developments Goals.

 

During the day, MBA students participated in a challenge launched by an NGO that operates in Senegalese and Gambian schools. The challenge’s goal was focused on education and wanted our students to find a way to help children to understand what Human Rights are about. Human rights are essential to democratic development and to citizenship education. By fostering an understanding of human rights to children, the higher education can strongly support to develop in the learning process attitudes of respect of equality and dignity.

The meeting with BNP Paribas, leader in banking and financial services in Europe and a major player at international level. Main topics: the economic background and the digital challenge; the Digital revolution of the Retail Banking and introduction to the MBA Track; professional development in BNP Paribas.

Congratulations to the students of the Full-time MBA ed. 2016-2017 and Part-time MBA ed. 2016-2018, for this big achievement! We had the pleasure to host Silvia De Dominicis, CEO Johnson & Johnson Medical, which held the Commencement address.

Welcome to the new class of the students of the Part-time #LUISSMBA! #LUISSBusinessInternational

Mr. Gianluca Brozzetti (CEO Buccellati) Inspirational Speech for LUISS Business School graduates.

A one-week program bringing together 40 talented students of 14 different nationalities from 9 international business schools, to deal with the #BusinessCase “#Benetton Sales Distribution Channel Strategy – The Franchising Expansion”, in #Rome and #Treviso. Born from the collaboration of LUISS Business School and Benetton Group, the initiative challenged the participants to devise an action plan to realise a strategic change of Benetton from a #BusinessModel based on licensed small stores to an eventual franchise oriented business model.

On June 15 Villa Blanc hosted the new edition of the “MBA Career Day”. The career day is arranged in a series of individual interviews with HR managers. Fifteen international companies and 30 interviewers met our students: the MBA Career Day is the beginning of the placement phase. We wish good luck to our #LUISSMBA students!

Colombia, Iran, Peru, Mexico, USA, Canada, Lebanon, Namibia, Syria, Dominican Republic, Italy: an #international class for a training path with a global perspective.

During the #Cultural day, #LUISSMBA students shared the objects and memories symbolizing their nationality and culture, with their teammates. The day ended with a visit to the historical area #Coppedè in #Rome.

On June 23, LUISS Business School’s campus of #VillaBlanc hosted the MBA #Career Day. 15 international companies, 30 interviewers for 30 students, for a total of about 120 interviews in one afternoon: for our students, the MBA Career Day was the beginning of the #placement process.
