You are you, unique and beautiful. We have so many flaws in us, we are different from each one. We have got our own life, different situations, different stories and different struggles. Stop comparing yourself to others. Don't be consumed in these thoughts and forget to live a life which is short. Try to make the use of time and learn to value life when you have it with you.

TP to Flourish today!

For four days over the August bank holiday weekend, the thousands that attended Manchester Pride 2023 welcomed every single moment of queer joy and celebration - even in the face of a little bit of rain.

Saturday’s Pride Parade (August 26th) - a staple feature of the Pride weekend - began in Deansgate at midday and featured more than 200 floats from organisations, charities, and businesses proudly waving the flag for LGBTQ+ rights and celebrating this year’s parade theme of ‘Queerly Beloved’, to mark 10 years of marriage equality in England and Wales.

As with every Manchester Pride before it, people took the opportunity to dress boldly with colourful and bright outfits. Top fashion trends over the weekend included Barbiecore, crop tops and, naturally, plenty of face glitter.

I am Pansexual. So for me, the LGBTQ+ community is very important and I am proud to be part of it. Pride Power for Life!

I've always wanted to open hangout place in SL, never got a chance until now.

Couldn't decide which theme I wanted so there's two ;)

TELEPORT TO ROOFTOP / MAJORKA

You are my UFO

Like a flash of bright lights in the middle of the night

You are my UFO

Take my breath away, yeah, you make me levitate

You are my UFO

I was a doubter 'til the close encounter

And now I know that you're somewhere out there

And I'm not alone

You are my UFO

✨ Introducing SPECTRE | Common Ground ✨

Mental Health & LGBTQ+ Peer Space in Second Life

Common Ground is a calm, welcoming space focused on mental health and LGBTQ+ community.

It’s a place to:

- talk or stay quiet

- listen or simply be present

- meet others on equal footing

- take a breath without pressure

There are no expectations, no performances, and no obligations.

Just people, presence, and respect.

Common Ground is a peer space — not therapy, not counseling, and not crisis intervention.

Hosts are here to listen, stay with you, and help you find support if you need it.

🌈 Open to LGBTQ+ people, allies, and anyone looking for a safe, calm environment

🌍 International & bilingual (DE / EN)

️ Quiet by design — even when nothing is happening

Sometimes, just knowing a space exists can already make a difference.

You matter.

You are not alone.

Crosswalk near City Hall

On January 21, 2021, Ms. Essay, as a member of the Missouri Historical Society’s advisory committee for the Missouri History Museum’s “Gateway to Pride” exhibition, participated in an event on Zoom to launch the “virtual” on-line availability of the exhibits to the public.

The “Gateway to Pride” virtual exhibits can be found at the following link:

Even for the “virtual” Zoom gathering, the age-old question remained of, “What to wear”?

So, for this event, Ms. Essay chose a cold-shoulder, black sweater dress with white stripes. This collage shows Ms. Essay earlier wearing the selected dress in December 2019 soon after she purchased it.

I'm not particularly religious but a big shout out to St. Mary's in Abergavenny for being so supportive of our little community yesterday and hosting the events in their grounds...

Check out the video link in yesterdays posting "Pride of Abergavenny" for a better view of the flag and my lovely town...🌈🌞

Took a walk a few blocks away and noticed that the Terrace Theater was decorated for Long Beach Pride Weekend. The display just seemed like it cried to be photographed. But my camera just grasped onto the colors beautifully. I just adjusted the shadows. The color took care of itself.

This is 1 of 3 logos I worked on a few days ago, and these are the stories behind them....

POC-LGBTQ+

✊The raised clenched fist has for years been a symbol of solidarity and support, the more commonly used black power fist or black lives matter fist is more commonly used for those part of or in support of the Black lives matter movement (not to be confused with the organization) to show solidarity and support for black lives which also extends to IPOC (indigenous, people of color) lives too!.

✊Many people seem to forget that intersectionality exists, and that there are more than just one ethnicity, more than one gender identity within the LGBTQ+ community. As diverse and beautiful as the BIPOC (Black indigenous people of color) community is, so is too the diversity in the LGBTQ+ community, many forget that those of the BIPOC community have in the past and today continue to fight for not just their right to exist equally and with equity just like everyone else, ethnically but also to be seen as human beings outside their own personal groups, and within these subgroups. In layman's terms, my fight is their fight, and their fight is mine.
