Jamie was born in Bootle ,Merseyside, and grew up a blue...but became a integral part of LFC and the European Cup winning side of 2005 .An uncompromising defender, he was well thought of for his combative qualities...so much so that the fans sang of him...to the tune of Yellow Submarine..."We all dream of a team of Carraghers..."
Jamie attended a boys club in Bootle, and this mural is on a wall just opposite that club...which Jamie supports financially : always nice to hear of a person who doesn't forget his roots.
