WELL MARKED and distinctive warbler, the Sedge Warbler has a lively and beautiful song that is a useful aid to identification. This one was deep into the reeds but found a small gap to focus through, love seeing them.

Ask Jesus into your life you will never regret it, he loves you so much!

SENEGAMBIA most common and widespread woodpecker regularly heard tapping, feeds low, and occasionally descends to the ground. A loud and typically rapid shrill and far-carrying peet-peet-peet, this one looks like he was drying out from a bathing session, as a bit of an unkept look about him.

THANK YOU for your visit, friendship, and any comments.

REDSHANKS favor areas of undisturbed damp grassland, moors, and the margins of marshes. Utters a yelping tiu-uu alarm call, the song is musical and yodeling. Always a pure delight to capture these.

RARE SIGHT for me, as kingfishers in Kent, are few and far between, so I have to show this as they are so dazzlingly attractive, and love that dagger-like bill, a favorite among British birders, This perch is used over and over again by this beauty.. and witnessed it catching many very small fish.

A adorable, rather dumpy short tailed woodland bird , which has the habit of descending tree trunks head-downwards in a jerky manner, its chisel-like bill is used to prise insects from tree bark and to hammer open acorns wedged into bark crevices. Love working with these birds.

DAZZLINGLY ATTRACTIVE bird, not often seen in our corner of Kent UK, and was not expecting to see it in the Grove Ferry Feast Hide, but what a joy when it landed, he caught a couple of tiddlers and was off, leaving me with the biggest grin ever.

PALM BAY, Cliftoville Kent, a area along the cliff tops, mainly for dog walks, runners ect, with the councils policy to let the grass areas go wild, is a sheer delight, the area is now filled with wild flowers, and tall grasses bees and butterfly's, house sparrows galore. Also a lot of meadow pipits, many with food for the youngsters in the long weedy areas, shows just how a small policy change has brought so much life to a area not known for it.

Take delight in the lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this.................Psalm 37: 4-5

CHARMING little reedbed specialist has a rather compact, rounded body and a proportionately very long tail. The distinctive call has earned the species the affectionate nickname of "pinger" which utters a diagnostic, high-pitched ping call.. Was overjoyed to get this chance encounter at Oare Marshes in Kent of a male, as I normally only see the female or juveniles, a bit of a nemesis bird for me.

==============================================

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP, its a joy seeing your images and being transported around the world without leaving my armchair. Beautiful sunshine in the U.K at last, enjoy but stay safe............God bless......................Tomx

FAMILIAR black, grey and white bird. The Pied Wagtail has a bounding flight and distinctive habit of pumping its tail up and down. They love locations such as playing fields and supermarket car parks, where this one was captured, but I was willing it to go into a little grass area to get a better image.

A TINY BIRD, it is constantly active in search of small invertebrates, you have to consider yourself extremely fortunate if you discover them. Feeding bird sometimes come amazingly close to observers, but views like this typically last no more than a few seconds. My thanks to Steve Ashton, without him I doubt if I would have encountered them.

THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, enjoy the Lords day, please stay safe, stay positive, God bless you.............Tomx.

THEY may be widespread and rather nondescript, streaked brown bird, but I have a real affection for them, as a ground-dwelling species, it is quite approachable with care. Feeds on invertebrates as seen, a bit harder in the capture in the winter when they often form loose flocks.

A GROUND-DWELLING bird, a familiar species across much of Britain and Ireland, partly because of its predilection for gardens and suburban locations. A beautiful singer, but can also utter a harsh and repeated tchak alarm call,at dusk or if a prowling cat is discovered. Hope you like this image, was not sure if to post it or not...............

"Weave JESUS into your life, your never regret it !"

A FAMILIAR MIGRANT VISITOR, that can be recognized in flight by its pointed wings and in the adult long tail streamers. But to photograph one is the problem as the adults rarely perch, and then it's on roadside wires, so this had to be taken on something natural !!!

"Jesus loves you, yes you !!"

DELIGHTFUL PLUMP-BODIED WADER, not often seen, and taken in very dark conditions, the best of a bad bunch, but just enjoy catching up with this pair every-year at the sea side defense wall, from Jan to about April. Seen a Hampton near Herne Bay, Kent, U.K.

I love these guys folks but do not photograph nearly enough, but that will change here of late, staying local

to to personal and medical issues.

Thanks to all for everything.

Good Friday to everyone here in Flickrland, and hoping a great weekend and a very safe weekend will be had by everyone.

Another road side Red Shouldered that I cannot remember how many images I did of this guy, and very tolerant of my presence and did not seem to mind me being there, love these guys, so there may be one or 2 more.

And as always guys, thank you all for everything.

Good Friday morning everyone, and wishing everyone a great and safe weekend and the sun be always at your back.

Thanking one and all for everything and you will be always in my heart.

Taken at Bempton Cliffs last summer.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving any comments or faves, they are very much appreciated.

The meadow pipit is a common nesting bird of moorland, heathland and rough grassland. In the autumn and winter, it moves out of upland areas to lowlands where it gathers in small flocks and can be found on farmland and saltmarshes. In the spring, it performs a fluttering, 'parachute' display flight. There are 2 million breeding territories in the UK.

On moorlands, meadow pipits are the most common 'foster parents' of young cuckoos. The adult cuckoo will lay a single egg in a meadow pipit's nest. After hatching, the cuckoo chick will push the other eggs or young birds out of the nest, giving its foster parents more time to concentrate on feeding their new, oversized chick.

Good Sunday morning everyone, and hoping a great and safe weekend was had by all.

Thank said everyone I have to tell you that this is all we've been seeing of late, Hawks, Hawks and more Hawks, but who am I to complain, not I folks, have a great day.

Thanks to all for everything.

SMALL dumpy wader that is associated with coastal habitats. Feeds by running along sand, gravel or estuarine mud as if powered by clockwork and then standing still for a second, to pick up food from the ground. Seen from the sea wall Reculvers, where their was a flock of about 20.

COUNT your blessings, name them one by one, and you will be surprised what the good LORDs done.!

The grey wagtail is a common bird of fast-flowing rivers and can be found in high densities in the hills of England, Scotland and Wales. In winter, they move to lowland areas and can be spotted in farmyards and even in towns. Grey wagtails eat ants and midges that they find beside rivers, and snails and tadpoles they find in shallow water. They nest near the water in hollows and crevices lined with moss and twigs.

It has a very long, black-and-white tail, a yellow rump and a yellow belly. It is grey above with black wings. Males have a grey face with a black throat bib and a white 'moustache'. The similar yellow wagtail has a shorter tail and an olive-green back, and does not have a black bib.

Nothing like a fresh fish breakfast folks, and nothing like getting a shot of the moment.

Thanks to all for everything.

Thank you for your lovely comments and invites they are all appreciated. Taken in March last year (2022).

A RATHER SECRETIVE SUMMER BIRD, The male Cuckoos familiar, onomatopoeic call is heard far more than the bird itself is seen. (34cm in length) Captured at Thursley Common. Surrey, U.K.

Have been waiting for the chance to get my first half decent capture of this bird, which has held me up for ten months, so can now proceed with the book. This would not have been possible without the very kind location details from Dave Carlsson, "THANKS MATE!" hope I can return the favour one day!
