Used the nifty fifty together with my macro extension tubes to get really close to the LED lights in a lamp I have.

For the Route 66 Casino located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I-5 Design & Manufacture created a completely new interior and exterior upgrade that added an entirely new level to the casino’s entertainment. Color changing LED’s were designed to illuminate the entire venue, creating moods and enhancing drama throughout the club. Various lighting elements are suspended from the ceiling that display programmed video files, custom designed images and the nightclub logo. Perfect for Halloween, we ventured to an abandoned mortuary to do some night-time urbex shooting with Marmalade (www.urbexmodel.com) and in amongst the decay were these freezers in a mortuary with the doors open. Shot with an LED light stick and no other light source, it was dark and creepy for sure in there.

I'd post a photo using a flash to make things clearer, but then the LED lights wouldn't be nearly as evident.
Light Painting in Cassiobury Park, Watford in March 2023. It is always great to see many people come to my workshops to paint with light.
Cassiobury Park is very dark at night with low light pollution where you can get a two minute exposure. Especially good with the river and its reflections.

(EN) A sculpture with roots in Burning Man has become the newest attraction on San Francisco’s Embarcadero at Pier 14 The 60-foot (18 meters) sculpture named “SOMA” combines metal and LED lights to mimic brain neurons and create an interactive experience for visitors. SOMA was first built five years ago by the San Francisco artist collective Flaming Lotus Girls. The group is known for the fiery statues they feature annually at the Burning Man festival in northern Nevada’s Black Rock Desert.

I bet that you did not know that the official name for Smithfield Market is Smithfield Plaza.
The Christmas tree at Smithfield [ designed by Blachere the company which created the lighting for the Eiffel Tower] was originally installed on O’Connell Street before being moved to Smithfield. I was disappointed that it was relocated.
According to the city council, it paid €36,809 last December to private firm 2B Light Company in relation to this tree, including €26,961 for the installation and removal of the 18 metre, five-ton, eco-friendly tree illuminated by 100,000 bulbs. In addition, the firm was paid €5,500 for the storage of the tree while the total includes a 13.5 per cent VAT component of €4,378.
The Mayor of Dublin recently stated that the city council’s spending on natural trees “is justified because of the Christmas cheer the trees bring and the community spirit they create, but I would have concerns over the ongoing costs associated with the Led Christmas tree at Smithfield.”
Personally I like the tree and I do hope that they continue to use it every Christmas going forward. I would be even happier if it was returned to O’Connell Street now that the tram construction works will have been completed by Christmas 2017.
