Explanation of the light leak: If you follow me on Instagram you'll already know I had to replace my Canon A1 body as the LED's stopped working in my old one (stopped showing the light reading and I used it as a light meter for my Rollei, so it was essential I could see the figures). As it turns out, this new body has a leaky back. The spongy outline on the back of the camera is torn/not tight enough so light gradually leaks in creating big red streaks and white/brown 'fog' around the outside of the photographs. The light leaks are by NO MEANS intentional (I have a small personal hatred towards any people who edit light leaks in) and I was very upset as several photographs were completely ruined by my new camera's mechanical fault. Naturally, I spent about an hour sulking, followed by another hour of torturing myself over what the photographs WOULD have been had there not have been disgusting light damage all over it. So anybody asking me how I 'edited' these in, prepare yourself for a reasonably blunt-borderline-abusive reply because I was very upset and it'll piss me off more than when people normally ask me how I edit.
Anyway, that is all.

Many months ago Kyrie and I were driving through the Deep Creek Conservation Park to camp for the night. I remembered gazing out the window of scooby and saw this sight. Ever since then I have thought it would be an amazing place to shoot with the moon coming through the trees.
First problem, I didnt put it in the GPS, which is weird for me. So yesterday spent 2 hours driving around the park looking for the spot. And found it about 20 minutes before it got dark. Phew
It was dark, raining and there was no moon to be seen. This however is quickly becoming a special turn of events. I have been enjoying working in the dark quite a bit recently.
I had a great night! After a very busy and high pressure month in May, this was the perfect potion to bring me back to earth. I feel Splendiferous today!
Peace

McGill’s have received six new Citaro’s to continue the upgrading of the fleet. One of the six has been allocated to Greenock Depot for use on the Inverclyde Express Services as a top up to similar buses already there but the remaining five have been allocated to Johnstone Depot for use on the 38 service between Spateston/Kilbarchan to Glasgow City Centre. These have replaced the last former First London Citaro Artic’s meaning there are now no articulated buses running in Glasgow now. This is J3353 (BF67WKL) heading to Spateston. Note the white LED’s - these are now becoming more common than the orange LED’s previously used.
Assignment: PCA30 Water
Deadline: June 22
Image Tag: pca30
From: ashley ann*
Mission:
Get out (or stay in) and take some pictures of water. Since it's finally summertime you could choose to go out and enjoy the weather and take some pics of streams, rivers, oceans etc. OR you could stay around the house and use your own water to create droplets of water on flowers, blades of grass etc. Make your kids play in the backyard with the garden hose. The options are endless!
Anything with water goes!
WIT : a set of plastic glowing glasses and a 2 litre bottle of sparkling water, backdrop made from black card, seem to have lost exif in editing, i think because i pasted the image on a bigger background as i was a bit tight for space at the top.
The glasses have led's built into some ice effect plastic at the bottom of the glass so there was no external lighting involved, justswitch the glass on and fil it with water, each glass can have a number of colours, all random each time you switch them on

This has recently been fitted with fend off LED's to match the rest of the fleet.
The 'variable climate' (Fordspeak) heated and fan assisted cooling seat switches located on the centre console on my 2013.5 model year Ford Mondeo Titanium X.
On the right all the light emitting diodes (LED's) are illuminated red which indicates the driver's seat is being heated at the maximum temperature. There are five temperatures settings available.
On the left all the LED's are illuminated blue which indicates the passenger seat is being cooled at the minimum temperature. There are also five cooling settings available.
Both driver and passenger front seats can be individually heated or cooled. The desired temperature or mode is set using the +/- on the toggle switch.
The heating and cooling of the front seats is achieved by four 'Peltier effect' thermoelectric cooling pads (one in the cushion and one in the seatback of each seat) with fan ventilation assistance when cooling mode is set. These heated /cooling seat cushion pads are generically known as TEC's (Thermo Electric Cooling Pads) in the automotive and other industries.
On Ford Mondeo's from 2007 to 2010, these heated/cooling seat toggle switches were coloured silver and located flush with the centre console, however from 2011 model year to 2014 they were black in colour and recessed into the twin cup holder recess thingy as seen here.
My previous experience of automotive heated seats is they generally fail at some point as the car ages and are virtually impossible or uneconomic to repair. Fingers and toes crossed this doesn't happen here..

Taken of the Crown Fountain in Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois.
Crown Fountain is a very cool piece of public art which is constantly changing and is fun to see. I wondered just how it works and so took this small part of the fountain which reveals the LED lights that are in the glass bricks and create the moving images.
Wikipedia has a lot of information about it here:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crown_Fountain
Part of their story:
"Crown Fountain is an interactive work of public art and video sculpture featured in Chicago's Millennium Park, which is located in the Loop community area. Designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa and executed by Krueck and Sexton Architects, it opened in July 2004.[1][2] The fountain is composed of a black granite reflecting pool placed between a pair of glass brick towers. The towers are 50 feet (15.2 m) tall, and they use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to display digital videos on their inward faces. Construction and design of the Crown Fountain cost $17 million. The water operates from May to October, intermittently cascading down the two towers and spouting through a nozzle on each tower's front face."
