This took me a lot of time and energy to finish it at the last minute. But there are over 100 LED's lighting up my Lego Trans Europ express. Everything from cabine lights to table lamps are fitted with LED's.
I use cheap Aliexpress LED's all the wiring and connecting is custom made/done. And there a lot of hours in doing that.
The pictures that are featured in this post are from the Lego eisenbahntreffen in Schkeuditz. There are multiple amazing layouts including one from Maciej Drwięga, UrbanErwin and noppenbahnen.
This massive five plus acre room is astounding to see in real time. During the shoot that produced this picture, we had the place lit for 1.5 hours using 15-3 Watt LED's. The image is forever burned into my memory.
Exposure time was 5 minutes.
A 2 week old Land Rover Discovery used by Essex Police at Stansted Airport. This was seen attending a motorbike accident on Parsonage Road, Takely which is just down the road from the Airport.

I love the light in this picture: green LED’s light up the US lab module, warmer evening lights in Node-2, and the light reflected on Earth by the Sun projects on the ceiling. Not sure what Shane was taking a picture of, but it was in daylight!

Was visiting some friends in Wexford over the weekend and we were lucky enough to have a reasonably clear night, so I decided to try a long exposure shot.
This was 730 seconds. My car was nicely illuminated by the blue flashing LED's on an alarm box at the side of the house.
A one off in the Essex Police fleet, a Volvo V70 Traffic Car fitted with grill and fend off LED's seen at Essex Police's OSG Base.
My thanks to Essex Police & S11AUN for arranging the visit.
Second attempt at making light orbs using my prototype light painting tool last night. Many obstacles throughout the evening... first one being the cold temps; then trying to find a decent location without any bright lights (hard to find in Missoula); finally found a location then had issues with my intervalometer (mainly me trying to figure things out in the dark). Also had some issues with the LED controller (blue LED's very dim).
Obviously I have a few issues to address before making another attempt. Looking forward to going back to this undisclosed location for another try.

Please ignore the faulty LED's as much as possibly it is hugely infuriating that I think I get a good photo and then look back on it to only see half a screen.
Anyway rant over, over the last few weeks since the next set of Xll300's have arrived in service they have now moved onto service 31 which in my opinion is pretty smart however I also think the 37 could do with them. So here we see Lothiancity Buses 1067 at Nicholson Street on a 31 to Bonnyrigg.
I hate photographing LED's! I like if they turn out well but over my last few sessions they have properly been playing up to my camera. This is my favourite shot from today. I decided to venture further West today and Bathgate was where I ended up. So here we see in Bathgate Town Centre Lothian Country 1046 heading towards Whitburn on the service X18.
A lovely Ford Focus from the NHS Urgent Blood Service seen responding around Lambeth Roundabout, London.
I headed back out to this awesome brick tunnel the other night to get a frame that I wanted to get last time I was there but was too tired to make it happen.
It's shots like these that I know things happen for a reason. I was planning on throwing in some LED's on the bottom of the frame to add a little more to it but forgot! I clicked my frame and was immediately upset with myself. Not 20 seconds later though a car ended up coming around the corner and right through the tunnel. Had I put those LED's into the frame my whole 12 minutes shot would have been ruined by the cars lights. So, everything happens for a reason!
Like I said above, this one was a little over 12 minutes. I used in camera noise reduction as well and it helped quite a bit. Steel wool in the center and then gelled flashlights for the rocks.
Please let me know if you remember the builder's name! (I am so bad with names, i should have had a notebook i know - next time!)
You can't see it in this shot btw, but all of those street lamps crossing the bridge had tiny led's in them!
Abellio London ADL Enviro 400 SN69ZRO, one of two buses (SN69ZRL being the other) with overall advertising- and twinkling LED's - to highlight the route 278 connections with the newly completed Elizabeth Line.
Seen here at dusk in Ruislip High Street at the Brickwall Lane stand where buses lay-over before commencing the service to Heathrow from the Underground station around the corner.

In 2008 the famous Ferris Wheel on the Santa Monica Pier, featured in countless film and TV productions, was replaced with a high-tech, solar-powered version. Even its bright, colourful lights are high-tech: 160,000 LED's instead of power-hungry incandescent bulbs. Photographed in Santa Monica, California.

One of my new mini hoops I made from parts sourced online. 10 slow color change LED's and 5 'Firefly' strobe LEDs that change from Purple/Orange/Green.
A faulty Bright Tech Bright 🔆 Dot display in bits, this is 2 of 3 boards in the display. This one is working correctly board 1 all the green leds stay on board 3 don't work at all. I've swapped some parts around and now all 3 displays show text however board 3 that I swapped with board 1 still has all the green leds working and not just the one's behind the text. Still its an improvement.

It looks like the days of the searchlights on the St Joe sub is coming to an end soon. New signals are already laying on the ground at Leavenworth, Sadler and Armour. More traffic style signals with LED's are coming soon.
Partially rebuilt my FDNY Ambulance. The cab is completely new designed and got 2017 Ford F-450 front. Also changed some of the LED's of the built in lighting kit. The front lightbar got a red and the rear lightbar two new blue LED's. The white flashers of the front moved to the fenders on the side because don't wanted to drill holes in the Lego's.
5 lovely Hampshire Constabulary RPU Motorbike officers stopped off by Lambeth Roundabout for a quick photoshoot. They wanted a line of their bikes with the Olympic Mascot and HoP and Big Ben in the background.
I was asked very nicely to take a photo on their lovely Canon camera :) Lovely guys and a huge credit to the force!!
My son has ordered me to stop working on a new loco and finish his brake van.
This evening I have put in working forward /backward facing lamps(2x1 trans plate is place holder). All use very small LED's(you can barely see one on the table in front of van). Each LED has a flickering candle LED attached in series(each light flickers at a different interval). All visible LED's are warm white, so I can change the light arrangement by swapping the lens colour. Tin foil was used to eliminate light bleed(I will use stickers for trans plate)
Just stickers/buffers/finish shunter wagon/complete new parts for Jinty then he says I can get back to the new loco.
