The PCB and display assembly is connected to the larger PCB via a single grey ribbon cable - you can do the change without disconnecting this.

LCD monitor is a display device, the most common form of outut device- present output visually, typically on some type of computer screen.
The AKAI MPC is a Drum machine / sampler + sequencer.
It's interesting using a piece of hardware like this, whose display is a 1980s-era LCD.
the back of the LCD can be seen here, temporarily mounted to the front case of the Plus. one option i was pursuing was to have the IR receiver for the LCD poking out the floppy drive slot. you can see the slim PCB that the IR and buttons to control the LCD reside on, connected to the main body by a white ribbon cable

The LCD stopped working after the iPhone was dropped. No visible damage to the LCD. We had it replaced by some guy in a parking lot for $70.

Taken with a reversed 50mm prime lens, taped securely to a filter adapter attached to my Canon S70.
My phone died recently. I think the charging circuit quit working, because it would recognize being plugged into power, but the battery never charged. It has since been replaced.
