Happy Caturday 12/23/23 - the theme this week is a tribute to our kitties who are no longer with us….
This was taken almost exactly 3 years ago. She was a beautiful and loving LBC, little black cat, named Shadow. A lap cat and my boon companion!!
I miss her greatly!
……btw, I didn’t realize we could post 2 pictures each week to happy caturday!!
HSS- i was explaining to someone the other day that "virtual dusting" can be a very soothing occupation/task, so i decided to dust the LBC, little black cat, using the cloning tool in picmonkey (there are probably easier techniques in other post processing programs but i kinda like this one). yes, that is a reflection of me wearing a tie-dyed hoodie in her eye.
.....i'll put the original in the first comment box, so you can see what she looked like before.... btb, picmpnkey removes the EXIF data unfortunately
Me again Monday— check the reflection in her eye... giggling
This is probably the earliest picture I have of the LBC, aka the little black cat, aka Shadow. We were in Florida at my mom’s house using her apple computer. Shadow used to love draping herself over the computer to be close to me and to absorb the warmth.
for caturday-- archived pictures for 8/5 :)
probably my favorite picture of the LBC :)
taken almost 6 years ago
Mention was made in the previous posting of the buses owned by the London Brick Company which served works in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire until 1971.
Most vehicles were AEC and here are a trio awaiting shift change in Bedford around 1968. Ex-Oxford Regal lll OJO721 leads London Transport Regent lll KGK758 and Oxford Regent lll SFC439.
The middle bus, Cravens-bodied RT1499 was less than eight years old when bought by LBC and went on to serve until the end, being bought for preservation in 1971.
Scanned from a negative taken by Ray Crane and posted with permission.
all of her whiskers are white now...
the caturday group's theme for this week (8/5/17) is archived favorites -- and that was a fun trip down a photographic memory lane :)
This Long-billed Corella visited my feeder at home yesterday morning, and took a little rest in the tree before enjoying his breakfast!!
He kindly posed long enough for a few pictures - a great way t start the day for us both!!
Hope you like this!
Thanks for any comments, views or favorites - much appreciated!!!
Wishing each of you a wonderful day and weekend!!
Happy Caturday 12/23/23 - the theme this week is a tribute to our kitties who are no longer with us….
This was taken, according to the EXIF data, in February of 2008. It’s probably the first picture I have of her! My mom’s old apple computer sloped back and was a perfect place for her to lounge and be close to me!!
ODT -- heads or tails took this picture many many moons ago, in a darkened room with no attention to lighting, focus or whatever. (boy, have i learned a lot in the last year.)....... my little black cat used to love being close when i was working on my mom's computer. periodically i would have to push her leg back up and out of the screen's left 1/3rd
one of the 118 pictures in 2018 is for love your pet day, today, 2/20. and she actually sat still for me to take this-- success!
item8 Love Your Pet Day (Feb 20th)
The LBC loves to cuddle when I’m reading and doesn’t seem to get that other things can be of interest to me, besides her.....We’ve lost our power so I thought I’d post one from my iphone........
it is back on :)
she's discovered the joys of laying on the back of the couch and surveying her kingdom and watching/waiting for the LBC to walk by
and HCS...
apologies to the caturday group-- next week i will follow the theme-- honest!!
this is the LBC (little black cat) whose real name is n'shadow or shadow.
Long Beach, Ca at night. Long Beach is such a cool city, I'm so happy I was able to stay here for the weeks I was in California.
I had such a skewed view of the city from movies and TV, I imagined it being nothing more than the Port of Long Beach, really gritty, tough, etc. It's an absolutely beautiful place, though. The people are great, the food is fantastic, and the sites and beaches are amazing.
This was taken from the Convention Center Walkway above Shoreline Drive.
Little black cardigan
It’s so vindicating when something you’ve been holding on to, waiting to come back into style, finally does! In this case, it’s a 13+ year old cardigan.
Like the LBD, the LBD (little black cardigan) is a classic! I’ve had this one since at least 2008.
I’m surprised at how well many of the things I ordered from the Victoria’s Secret clothing line have lasted. This sweater and the 14 year old corduroy skirt from a few days ago are still in rotation.
Sweater, Moda International. Jeans, Levis. Boots, Seychelles. Sunglasses, Toms. Scarf, thrifted. Belt, Lauren Ralph Lauren (consignment).
