Afif's forefathers made swords for the aristocracy of the Mughal court. After the decline of the Mughals, they stopped making swords and started making scissors and knives, the steel comes from Karachi. They moved from Amritsar (present day India) to Lahore in 1947 during partition. His main clients today are tailors and cobblers. "I am worried about the impact of cheaper chinese goods on our business."
