In search of a sunset on Koh Samui, I ended up at Taling Ngam at the southwestern end of the island. Unlike Koh Samui’s more popular beaches on the eastern side, this beach was pristine with few visitors wandering about.
So is Flickr really back online? I admit I have my doubts. :)
Wikipedia: Wat Plai Laem is a temple on the resort island of Ko Samui, Thailand. Like the nearby Wat Phra Yai or "Big Buddha Temple", it is a modern Buddhist temple. The temple's design incorporates elements of Chinese and Thai traditions and was in part designed by distinguished Thai artist Jarit Phumdonming.

One of the many hotels we stayed in during our recent Thailand visit, this is the hotel 'Conrad Koh Samui' on the most south westerly point of the island. This image is taken in the hotel reception car park, looking out over the Gulf of Thailand towards Koh Nok Taphao, Koh Som and Koh Phaluai, ......some car park I can tell you!
