Know One

Caught By A In Southern ALberta

Just for fun a little quiz ...... Six photo's , 2 of this steam tractor & 4 previously , of a coach / bus !

Anyone know what the link is ? ( a bit more than they were at the same event :)))))

If knowone guesses I'll put the answer up on the 8th Oct.

We are so excited to let everyone know Its 100 percent official!!! Tam and I are engaged

Last week on our trip to Cuba we took a walk just as sunset was on the way

and we headed out to the ocean as i told Tam we should make our way down to this little pier over looking the water so we could get a few family photos with Dali. I was nervous as we sat here and i knew that in a couple minutes i would be asking my best friend to marry me. It really was a perfect place as knowone was around i set up my camera up and my tripod on the pier getting ready to take some family photos (at least thats what Tam thought) i think it took an extra couple minutes for me to get the camera ready--it was go time..this is how i did it. The camera was all ready and i asked Tam if she could stand at the end of the pier and to look out to the ocean cause i was gonna stand on the other side with Dali and we could take a photo of all of us looking out...(Tam never questions my photo ideas as she knows they are always so random, so for her to have her back turned and be looking out at the water and not turn around was the perfect way)-i walked back to the camera and hit the video timer as Tam stood at the end of the pier looking out into the Ocean i walked up behind her got down on one knee with Dali and reached into my camera bag pulling that special little box out and then asked Tam to turn around and this is what she saw as she looked back, just me and Dali down on one knee holding a ring ....

it really was a perfect moment--

Im such a lucky guy to have Tam in my life- I have so many amazing memories with her we have been so lucky to spend months traveling through places like India, sitting infront of the Taj Mahal,, sailing through Halong Bay in Vietnam, spending weeks in Cambodia exploring, full moon party's in Thailand and living on an Island in the Philippines--all those life changing experiences were so amazing to share with Tam, and she has always supported my photography always so encouraging to me, giving me that extra push and love when i need it-i cant thank you enough for that.

The other most amazing gift Tam has ever given me is our son Dali--just to know that this is our family and what that she has done for me is overwhelming-i cherish that so much Tam and i promise that no matter what i will always be there for you and Dali, I will always support you I will always care for you, I will always try to make you laugh and smile, I will always make sure i give you back rubs when you need them and surprises when you least expect them, I promise all of that to you Tam.

I thank you from the bottom of my happy filled heart for making me the luckiest man alive and cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you and Dali

Love you Tam!

This is dedicated to everyone who has mothered a child, whether they have given birth or not:) Thanks for visiting, have a happy and blessed day to each of you:)

this old phone has been in lugged around with me and used in random photos from the first semester i took in the darkroom --its just one of those random props that sticks around --i even used it in my day 173 photo that made fp Techno Daze Phone Message ------ i knew i wanted to do a Bokeh photo at some point in this 365 --to kinda add to the flickr theme of these shots --and booya i was packing up all my props before i leave and the phone came to mind as it half rang from the drop on the floor ---thats how this idea came about in case you were wondering -----so i set up this shot in my make shift studio-- (a black sheet held to the wall with 2 tacks in the kitchen--so very true) and tried to line up the bokeh in the background --i had all the lights on an extra light stand ---then i got the phone out and set that part up --and then it was just a matter of balancing the back bokeh lights with the foreground flash light that was used to light the phone and then trying a bunch of different lighting to see what suited the image best ---

day 325----40 left to go--

specs -- sb-800 shoot through umbrella camera left at 1/16th power and fired via nikons cls

shot at f 2.2 and balanced with the back lights

Just spooky. Going down a airport terminal and knowone home :0

so yesterday i posted my light junkie tribute to all the people who have inspired me when i first started light painting and then i though hey i need my own light junkie tribute self portrait --2 is better then 1 right -------------------

meet danny ---he's been on the scene for the last 8 months sense his first attempt of real light painting on March 1st---knowone starts off wanting to be a light junkie --it kinda just happens --maybe just light painting the odd time on the weekend or with friends but quickly he started going out to light paint by himself and the odd time during the week then it became ever second or third day -- he was losing sleep and many friends but danny didnt see it that way --------

then on July 12th --day 193 of 365 something dramatic happened -----danny was in Toronto road tripping for the weekend to light paint infront of the famous CN tower ---he had been planing this shot for months and months --he drove 4 hours to get there -- side swiped 2 cars on the way

and got 1 speeding ticket ----and when he finally got there he scouted for the best spot and waited for the night skys---now this is where the story goes bad---- it was after midnight and danny had now been up for over 52 hours ---he was pretty much delirious -and out of his mind-then as he was walking over to do his first photo of the night mesmerized by the light he fell off the pier into the water -- o no ----the water felt like a shock and he started to panic --it was pitch black out and noone was around --(did i mention danny cant swim) he was going under quick as water started to fill his lungs ---could this be the end he thought -----at thats when it hit him --the realization and -a floating log to the side of the head ---im a light junkie ---the next thing he knew he was being dragged from the water by some local fisherman -------id like to say this story ended with a good note and danny gave up light painting but we all know how that story goes -once a light junkie ---always a light junkie ----this was day 327 --

specs--- i had the 50mm 1.8 out so i could get that wide aperture to let in the light coming from the christmas lights and the blue glow stick --and then it was a matter of balancing my flashes cause at 1.8 with the flashes that close to me they would of blown my face out --so i had to diffuse them with a piece of folded paper towel over the top of the flash and taped on there ---ha! it worked tho ---

sb-800 camera right (paper towel diffused) at 1/64th power

sb-80dx camera left (paper towel diffused at 1/128 power both fired via nikons cls

I loved it when i came across this bike. knowone can resisit a photo of a bike , what story dose this bike tell you ?

The pay off a week off work, and a stroll out of my bedstead. And today nature was everywhere. A good healthy environment. Where the dragons fly, and as such they are all over the river system. If you miss them, then you are else where. I blog here, because I believe you need a picture or an image. I do not comitt crime, because the fear of being banged up is a knightmare, Knowone should have there wings clipped.

Bayonetta

I did a lot of styling on this wig! Buying a wig like the Jasmine, made for up-dos really saved me some time! Wefts were harvested from the middle of the wig where the styrofoam cone was placed for the up do. I then sectioned the rest out, glued, heat set, and hair sprayed the rest of the wig around the styrofoam base. Ribbon and Chain were added where needed. the bangs were cut, heat styled, and hair sprayed.

Bodyless, soil-infested excuse for a snowman featuring a Christmas Pudding 'bowl'-er hat : very becoming but doesn't exactly improve this very under par specimen.........................sorry folks.

I'd just like to say in my defence that this snowthing was created and built solely for my little sister who is way down in the depths of Devon and didn't get any snow at all. She was mightily disappointed and asked me to send her some snowy pics, so like the good big sis' I am, I went back out into the cold and wet and created this masterpiece - she tells me that knowone has ever made her a snowman before and although it really is 'El crappo', she was chuffed to bits:-) JOB DONE.

I felt so eugh this morning :(

Update. update..... Pizza was gooooood!... :D

I watched the strangers.........what a complete waste of time!

rubbish rubbish movie!

06/2016. I was surprised at how well the interior was. After the many years here in Tucson the seats were perfect. Many have waited for someone to put this A/C to some good use. I believe it will be used for training/inspiring youngsters to become Aviators. This will be a training room knowone would forget.

Around 250 steep, rickety steps lead to the 18-metre-high lighthouse at Cape Palliser. First lit in 1897, the lighthouse was staffed until 1986, when it was automated. It affords magnificent views of Palliser Bay and the South Island.

My son and I only made it half way up we both half height issues :) He lost it first which was fine by me!! getting down was a bigger problem, since there was not room on each step for two people to pass. We waited until knowone was on the steps. Looks mighty pretty...LOL

I have always admired this old house. It's been sitting empty for years & years now. A couple times a year the yard will get mowed. The roof (that can be seen) still looks to be in nice shape. I wonder what the history of it is & why knowone loves it anymore. It sits on a very busy road and is posted "no trespassing."

Anyone know what kind of style this house is? Cape Cod maybe?

Gracias a todos los que nos habeis enviado vuestros diseños.

Todos los que nos habeis mandado un logo recibireis este pack de regalo.

Thanks to all!!

All the submissions will get this gift pack.

by J. H. Loper,

Successor to

Forester Clark,

Belvidere, ILL.

I had to darken this photo alittle. The photo is so faded the picture can hardly be seen. I found it in an antique store in Rockford, IL. It must have been there for some time with the dust that was on it. Probably knowone wanted it because it was so faded. But the old photo spoke to me and I had to get it. Now this little baby photo has a good home.

another one of "the vette". Ok ... I thought this place was abandoned but I drove buy the other day and there was a car in the driveway in front of this one! Its one of those places where you think to yourself, "knowone could be living here" but you never know!

I love this spacehopper. I nabbed in from work as knowone else wanted it.

Its a nice spring day aswell so I decided to test it out in the garden.

I love sunny days :D

Note. 2 more days untill my interview!!

Saw this as I drove away from getting a 309 I had been after for a while. Turned the car around to park up and get this one. ( I like 205's, passed my driving test in one ). Had a Quick look to check knowone was watching ( including the bloke walking his dog up the street ). Wind down car window, take picture just in time to hear the front door of this house go. Out walks a bloke just going for a jog. He sprints after me shouting " Excuse me, Excuse me ". I booted it away.

With hindsight I maybe should have stopped and told him it was only the car I was photographing, but I panicked a bit and sped away. I owe him an apology really as most people would be as suspicious as him in the circumstances and if he was an unreasonable chap I think he would have used language a bit stronger than " excuse me ". Could have caused myself some aggro if he remembered my reg number, but I don't think I was doing anything illegal as I was on a Public highway.

In summary a harsh lesson learned, hope I don't get a visit over it.

Lets hope knowone tries to operate the wipers. Looks headed for the scrapyard anyway. Dealer tags for former renault dealer mill lane aldershot.

Great family time can be had in the snow when knowone can get to work....all you can do is play!

last november i was asked to do some animation

this included caracter concept and quite a bit of work, the study was to represent different music lovers.

each charcter was built on the same initial body.

a bit eclectic hurts knowone

mogwai = delicious

This couch is upstairs in our living room and I love to sit on it with a book, cup of tea, or some knitting. It's big enough to even sleep on. This was hubby's Grandparents and everyone told me I was crazy to want it. I had it re covered in fabric very close to the original and the antique dealer told me it's from the late 1800's. I think this is what Amanda is looking for over at soulemama. Now everyone sits on it and sees why I had to have it. www.sewstylish.wordpress.com

another Dirty South representative is this artist Christopher Bridges well known as Ludacris. He was my fav' when he came onto the hip-hop seen awhile back with the album Back for the First time. I still respect his uniqeness still, but i miss the attidude he had back then. But i'v always loved this pic ever since i saw it on his first album covers. Its worth a thousand words, it "speaks" for its self

I hope you like it the movie will be epic and come out in 2011
