Richmond Castle had a Knights Tournament. As well as a handful of stalls showcasing various things, they had a tournament between 4 knights. It started as a few rounds of 1v1, and concluded later in the day with a Grand Melee involving all the knights and their entourages at the same time.
I also created this by using Ballpoint pen. The whole idea for this pic was to illustrate characters as if they were for a childrens book
Day #93 - Knight Rider
"Out of gas, still burning"
After the spectacular program 'Frozen Planet', I made a terrible decision and left the television on to watch 'I shouldn't be alive' or something equally inane.
They are right - they shouldn't be alive.
... However a scene in that show gave me an idea.
And now I have DJ Shadow 'Mashin' on the Motorway on repeat.
A Knight of the Realm is a brave, honourable, charitable, and just person who defends the realm and protects the poor and downtrodden. Knights were expected to be loyal to their lord and lady, and to protect women, the poor, and the weak.
