Goodwill 2008 Retail Store Manager of the Year Damien Evans threw out the first pitch and mascot Smiling G handed out clappers and high fives to kids at the Charlotte Knights game on Saturday.
I was awakened at 4 a.m. by the television in the next room, so I took the camera for a stroll before it got light.
A fair amount of 'fill flash', tone mapping and other tweaks used on this one . . .
What do you do when you buy a new hard drive and restore your entire library of pictures? you go through the thousands of pictures again and process the ones that you might have missed the first time around.
Here's one of a young girl while we were at Seattle's fisherman's wharf this summer. She was the most adorable thing that day at the market - chopping away at the ice with her sword while everyone stood around waiting to see the "flying fish" show at the market.

The Knight Commission on Trust, Media and American Democracy examines the causes and consequences of a collapse in trust in democratic institutions, with a focus on trust in the media, journalism and the information ecosystem. In addition, the Commission seeks to identify the perennial and emerging values and social obligations that should guide those who produce, distribute and consume news and information to ensure a functioning democracy. To accomplish this, the August 2017 workshop provided Commissioners and participants an opportunity for thoughtful discussion guided by a set of issue-driven white papers and readings.

Grey Knight Project. Now that I have him painted I see all the holes in the hoses and air pockets from the poor casting.
I'm still not super happy with how parts of the top carapace came out. lesson learned, GW's yellow paint is still a bitch to work with. tons of layers to get full coverage and it ended up gloopy in a few places. I also should have been patient and waiting to get a pot of new white rather than use my 4 year old skull white when I did the stripes because they came out kinda chunky too. Oh well. Also the House crest decal makes it really obvious my stripes weren't as straight as I though. Oops.
That said I still think it looks cool, and lessons learned for if I attempt this again. And the window turned out pretty neat, though looks better in person
