Our refrigerator fits like a glove in its new home. Lance cut an opening in the wall and put the bulk of the fridge in the garage. Thanks to my dad for his help in making this happen and Lance for all his hard work. This was the best idea I have had in a long time. It freed up a lot of space in our tiny galley kitchen.
The blue tape covers holes cut in the bulkheads to determine what was behind them. The Mirage hardwood floor will remain unchanged.
The most fun part of a remodel? DEMOLITION! Amazing what damage you can do with a sledge hammer and crowbar. Not to say that I had anything to do with this. Professionals were hired.

I had no idea these were coming. I thought we were just getting plain ole, no-frills cabinets. Nope! We're fancy. We've got pull-out shelves in most of the cabinets (so we can reach the stuff in the back easily), quiet-close drawers, a tip out in front of the sink and tray and platter dividers above the refrigerator. Sweet.
(This is the cabinet area that used to house larger pots and pans... and mice.)
Clean up and dishes are easily done with the trash / recycling and dishwasher at the sides of a large sink at the center.
We never used this breakfast area for breakfast. Just for researching recipes, and as a staging area coming home from the grocery store.
