Taken at Pico Mundo Studio, Coutryside Avenue, Sta. Lucia, Pasig City.
Thanks to Glenn Mendoza and Mardy Muyot of Pico Mundo Studio for this shoot.
I was working in Chippenham again today and had a couple of hours to kill between an in class film session and the after school film club, so met up with my parents in Lacock for a picnic lunch at the beautiful Lacock Abbey. I took some really nice shots of the crocuses and daffodils, which were full of colour and very pretty... but unfortunately I had to opt for this action shot I had already taken.
As I arrived in Lacock I saw this gorgeous cat on the path opposite the Post Office, so parked up and was getting a couple of shots with the portrait lens. Then he started to step backwards and I thought he was just a bit scared of the camera... oh no, it was time for the cat to be sick... and as I continued to snap away I got this one mid action. Unbelievable.
Sorry for those of you with weak stomachs, but I had to upload it! And the reason for the pun, is other than it being a brown coloured liquid from a cat, is that I had just bought a pack of KitKat Chunky's - the first time I've bought any in a long long time!
And back to your dinner...
北海道札幌市
Found in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan @ 7-11. I'd actually known about this one before it came out. My friend Youko took a photo of this in the newspaper and sent it to me- told me that it was coming out 06.04.2007. I'd never heard of KitKats being promoted as news items before.
However, Yubari's a special case. It's apparently the city in Japan in the most economic trouble (or at least, the one being targeted as so). It's been getting a lot of airtime on TV in regards to this. So I think this is one of many "pushes" that it's receiving to try and help jumpstart the fragile economy (it's a rural town out in the middle of NOwhere; beautiful, but remote).
As for the taste, maybe I'm getting jaded, but I didn't feel that it tasted quite as good as the previous melon KitKats that I've had. I was underwhelmed. This one also cost more than the usual KitKats. They have them set up separately at some places so people can see them. They're selling for 140 yen/apiece whereas they're usually 110~120 yen/apiece. Is that extra money going to Yubari? Or is it lining some KitKat exec's pocket? Or is it greasing some wheels between Nestle and some gov't bigwigs? Hmmm... leave it to me to find a conspiracy in candyland.
… have a KitKat 😀
I got a four-finger KitKat out of the fridge to take this photo – and so I had to eat it 😜
