52 weeks for dogs ... week 17 ... OMG - OMD ...
Today is Kingsday in The Netherlands ... the only thing Orange (our National color) in my house was this hat from a celebration last year ... this making off photo was more fun than the one he actually has the hat on ... in that shot he looks "defeated" ... in this photo he actually has the attitude look I like so much from him ... "you want me to do "whát" ? ;) ...

No idea what it is this flower but found it today between the thistles, and it is a suitable color on Kings day.

Not a sharp image but i liked the craziness of the moment. The King's birthday is celebrated in orange colour, beer and selling whatever on the street. In this case it was a speedy wedding for fun. The picture captured the day perfectly for me :)

For all Dutch Flickr friends a very nice festive King's Day
King Willem Alexander is celebrating his birthday today.
Here, we are going back in time: he sits with his Queen Máxima and his even younger Prinsesses ♥ Amalia, Alexia and Ariane.

Yesterday was the first Kingsday, when King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima and the 3 princesses, Amalia, Arianne and Alexia came to visit our city. I chose to avoid the crowds and watch the whole ceremony on TV. This shot from the Wolwevershaven was from back in 2012 when the water levels was so high and we had some flooding in the harbour areas

. . . OK, It's a little late for the official King's Day celebration (April 27, the Birthday of King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands), but the tulip colors reflect well on that day.

HAPPY KING'S DAY !!
It is King's Day in the Netherlands, our National Day but all festivities are channeled but not in Lego City. Annette is serving tompouces. It is a custom to eat orange glazed tompouces at this day.
This morning i had to get out and return to Rotterdam to have another go at the sunrise and i was treated to a nice orange golden glow over the skyline of the port of Rotterdam, a pleasant way to start the birthday of our king.

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands’ birthday is on 26 April, but this year he is celebrating it on 27th April. This is because it falls on a Sunday.
It is a great celebration for the Dutch people. Everything is decked out in orange. There is plenty of music, games for the children, and flea markets.
Peter is also getting ready for the celebration.
He has made an orange hat for Oleg.
PETER:
I’ve made an orange hat for you, Oleg, because Monday is King’s Day.
You should have a go at trying it on.
OLEG:
Oh… well… I’ll have a go at trying it on, but that’s as far as it goes.
I’m not wearing it on King’s Day. I’m already getting a headache just thinking about it.
AURORA: (helped Peter make the hat)
Come on, Oleg... don’t be so grumpy. It’s only for one day!
Aurora puts the orange hat on Oleg’s head
AURORA:
Oh... it looks brilliant on you, Oleg... really!!!
It fits you perfectly. You’ve made it so beautifully, Peter!
PETER:
Thanks partly to you, dear Aurora.
Now we’re going to make one for you!

Will Oleg wear the hat on King’s Day??????
