Principals from schools across the city attended a meeting at the Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush highlighted by an awards presentation for recipients of the PA Dept. of Education's Keystone Awards and a discussion by author, educator and businessman Stedman Graham.
Bryan Wade, an award winning television producer, presented an oral history documentary titled “Keystones: The African American Veterans’ Experience”.
This documentary is the first of a fifteen-part documentary series which chronicles the lives of African American servicemen and women who served from World War II to the Vietnam War. In conjunction with this documentary, Wade created a school curricu-lum, which he said is the first of its kind in the country to teach African American oral history.

This is Keystone Bridge B, which spans the West Branch Gorge in Western Massachusetts. Itâs along the Keystone Arches Trail, and one of the tallest bridges in the area. The wind was blowing through the gorge causing these wild ferns to sway back and forth, and the water was flowing quickly as rapids off to the side created the river. Interestingly enough, this architecture was way ahead of its time and has surpassed all expectations of the builders. For example, the bridges that are still in use now carry trains 40 times heavier than they were designed for, and with virtually no maintenance over the years. In 1830, a steam locomotive weighed about 12,000 lbs. The average locomotive now weighs in the neighborhood of 415,000 lbs. Few bridges built today will stand for 90 years under any circumstances, so these are truly remarkable feats of engineering!

Who would have thought I would have found a Keystone in a grocery store.
But I did. Keystone Light. While this is not a beer I would drink unless I was on a deserted island and no other beer was available.
Then I might.
So while I picked up this can and took a photo I did not purchase it.
Life is too short to drink crappy beer.
A co-worker drinks this swill all the time. I asked why and he said cheap.
Says a lot about his taste.
