More pink? Why not? Japanese market exclusive gown, circa 1967, for Francie is beaded with restraint. Barbie pulls out all the stops in the exuberant Pink Formal, a Sears exclusive from 1966. Ken is all class in his classic Tuxedo, circa 1961.

This photo did not make it into the Barbie 50th Anniversary feature in the current issue of Haute Doll magazine.

I still have quite a few more boxes to go through of dolls and their clothes/parts/accessories so please excuse the slow progress!

Please excuse the mismatched clothing, messy hair, nudity, side glances, etc.... I just thought it would be easier to photograph them as is rather than take the hours dressing/brushing/styling/posing them.

I was asked by BarbieLover22 to photograph my complete collection (which is awesome, thanks so much for the intrest!), but this may take a while. I swear I am not a hoarder lol. :D

Manually focusing , constantly changing light I done my best on this one

These are some Barbie clothes I used to play with when young. My mom saved them for me often from friends of hers who had older children who had outgrown their dolls. Many of them are from the early 70s.

I'd love to know more about them if anyone knows. Please do tell. :)

All these (and more) need new homes as I'm going to a different country for an extended stay soon so send me a Flickr Mail message (access through the arrow that appears near my profile photo when mousing over it, or click on the little tan envelope that appears on my profile page) if interested.

KEN: "Barbie, come with me! Live in my Dream House! I know it's crazy! I know we've just met! Aw, heck - you don't know me from GI Joe. But when I look at you I feel like we were..."

BARBIE: "...made for each other".

Barbie is 50 today! Happy Birthday Barbie!!

Donnie is somewhat of a player, he works for the police department in Dollyville :)

Annika is new to town, and has a very charming and lasting impression, it is no suprise these two found each other :) I quite enjoy the two of them as a couple...

Here I am in Nov/Dec1963 with my Mattel Ken doll purchased in Linick's in Boro Park, Brooklyn NYC. He had cooler clothes than I did. This was my pre-G.I. Joe digging trenches in the yard and lobbing dirt-bombs at my friend's G.I. Joe days. Still Ken taught me some fashion sense. Damn! I want a shirt like Ken's now!

My cousins still have this doll without the clothes. Yes Ken is lying naked, locked in a dark draw. I relinquished him to my cousin's Barbies long ago when they came over to play with him. Cousin Letty has him now. Kodak Brownie with flashbulb by Mom. Dig that early 50s "atomic age" wallpaper and the 110 year old glass doorknob (as of 1963!).

These are some Barbie clothes I played with when younger. My mom saved them for me often from friends of hers who had older children who had outgrown their dolls. Many of them are from the early 70s (maybe even late 60s). I was always careful with them and if a friend I was playing with wasn't careful enough (in my eyes) she was not my friend anymore... Priorities! :D

Most are in pretty good shape except the stain on the black polka-dot white shirt above (though that may wash out but I was afraid to send these through a washing machine).

I'd love to know more about them if anyone knows. Please comment. :)

UPDATE: I found Ken and he's wearing the shirt to the Sears Exclusive Set from 1974 that goes with the Argyle pants in the middle that DoubleSupaFantastico identified for us (again, many many thanks for all your great work).

Sadly, I'm also trying to find new homes for these (and most of my other stuff) since I'm planning a big lifetime trip for a year or longer. Send me a Flickr Mail message (access through the arrow that appears near my profile photo when mousing over it) if interested.

Citreon Cactus M concept (2015)

CITROEN SET

www.flickr.com/photos/45676495@N05/sets/72157623776731490...

According to Citroen the Cactus M concept was designed in the spirit of the Citroen Mehari, basically a fun car for the beach, or Ken and Barbie.

Essentially the car is a topless C4 Cactus with no frony pillars and the same quirky Airbumps, plus two surfboards, wetsuit-lined floral seats and two plug holes in the footwells for hosing it out, wood panelling over the bootarch and windscreen surrounds. Cactus M has two elongated doors of one piece moulded plastic

Many thanks for a fantabulous

Aurelie is also new to the agency this year, but she has been doing really well. She is the sister of fellow models in the agency, Chaz & Beck.

Meet Justin Jedlica and Valeria Lukyanova. Two people who went through multiple surgeries to look like Barbie and Ken. It's amazing that we believe we have to change ourselves to much to be beautiful.

I'm very confident in my masculinity.

Outside the dream home.....

For my star screen name, I chose serendipity which means 'good fortune/luck' because I feel very fortunate and honoured to making it all the way to being one of TNBT's "Fab 4"! Every photoshoot and challenge has been a blast. ~Nick Miller

Well I have many vintage barbie patterns and I TRIED to make a dress and I can never make them how they have to be made so this was the result of one of those dramatic ball gowns gone kinna wrong Its not done but i thought i snap a photo of her in it since her photos seem to be so popular here on flickr 117 views and counting

I'm very confident in my masculinity.

Correctly or wrongly, I've set my light. Now I am exploring different compositional angles. Yes, this face is made of plastic. But, imagine what it would be like if it were a real face. With this angle and this lighting, if I could do this with a human, I'd be very satisfied.

Barbie's 50 today! Happy Birthday, Barbie! :D
