Der Klapperschlange Endschwanzrassel

fehlt – wie man weiß – der Kellerassel.

Auch Mauerasseln enden nicht

mit einer Klapper, sondern schlicht

ganz ohne diese. Recht betrüblich,

denn wären Asselrasseln üblich,

dann schätzte diese jeder sehr,

alleine schon vom Wortklang her.

A friend hinted to me that the pic reminded him of contours on a map. I must say that after squinting my eyes and blurring my vision I too noticed the resemblance. With that thought I went into the forest and looked up. I then saw the mountains come down from the skies. Drainages from all the rivers suddenly started flowing down from the trees and the sky became the snowy peaks. I felt as if I was the ocean and the trees were emptying into me.

Thanks ,Tony!

An odd mix of BNSF and Metrolink equipment rests at Keller Yard in Los Angeles. Four GP60s and two AC4400s are mixed in with the regular passenger stock.

I was out at White Rock for sunset. Bailed a little early when it didn't pan out like I'd imagined. Lo and behold, 20 minutes after, a brilliant splash of color appeared out west. Couldn't really pull over and launch quick enough, but I was able to squeeze a few frames off eventually.
