Kate's second work used Strelitzia leaves showing the angles of a Slanting arrangement more clearly. The sprigs of Iresine with flashes of red stems make this work rather dramatic
Kate Hennessy, granddaughter of Dorothy Day came to MU to talk about her experiences with her grandmother and the Catholic Workers.
I took a bunch of pictures with my camera, but using my sister-in-law's flash. Now I totally want one.
Kate Marika graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2015 and majored in art history and philosophy. She now lives in the area, working with the local International Socialist Organization. She marched with fellow members of ISO in the March For Our Lives in Northampton. Taken by Jackson Cote.

The Kate was an English steam ship that sunk in 1878, after hitting two reefs on the way into Bermuda. They managed to call in for help, and unloaded all cargo and people safely.
Kate's plane pulls up to the gate at BWI. They have a nice observation deck where I was able to watch her plane land and arrive at the gate.
After my week doing seminars in PA, I picked Kate up on Saturday morning at BWI - Baltimore.

Slanting Moribana - Lili Pili branch picked from the side of the tree was used as the Shin and the piece picked from the top of the tree for the Soe. The focal point has double Tulips.
When I emailed this photo to my sister, she wrote back:
“Tut tut, Governor! I’ll take your most aggressive investment plan, and a discretionary dispersement in small bills. Ones will suffice, which should see me through my needs regarding pureed items of most sorts for the foreseeable future. Good gentleman you are!”
“Grampotter” (Grandpa Otter) responded:
“…and my holdings in Pampers are quite substantial…”
