BTW, I got an honorable mention in Flickr's World Photography Day 2025 contest. I only noticed it by the message that my photo was added to a gallery. Such weak communication might be part of why Flickr doesn't grow anymore.
I generally don’t like to go to “Big Box” stores, such as this. I prefer to support my local, hometown hardware store (don’t even get me started on Wal-Mart). Unfortunately, they didn’t have what I was looking for in my local store, so off to the mega-Menards I went. I took this photo and left quickly. Other customers were eyeing me, and I think the cart kid thought I was a terrorist.

FGR invades Grocery Stores and The Karate Kid Crane...
We improvised...daughter's idea...she remembered the little miniature shopping cart we had. Getting Evildog in a grocery store was going to be a major deal; we just made our own!
This was taken after our Pasadena flickr meet, there were so many gorgeous cameras on the table I had to take this shot.
That little camera is my running buddy - my trusty FX01 - most of my run'ography shots were taken with it.

OK, so I didn't actually have any chopsticks. Or houseflies. Moriarty is too efficient.
As a part of nature, Hokies and Wahoos MUST feud...(or at least display hostile intentions, even toward loved ones).
When you have great models, things happen out of nowhere. But I did bring some ideas. I had seen this spot when I did my initial walk through and it had an great ancient feel. So after a few normal shots, I told them "Show me some good College Rivalry hatred!" This is what resulted. It did get quite chippy and the Wahoo-ette came close to having to climb out of an empty fountain! But she would have her revenge later.
... reminds me of the Karate Kid Movie.. :-))

Thousands of Mexicans make the pilgrimage to the Basilica of Guadalupe each year on or before December 12th. Some pilgrims crawl on their knees for miles as they approach the Basilica before praying to the Virgin of Guadalupe. In the North of Mexico City. Caught this little Karate Kid enjoying an ice cream today, oblivious to what the day is all about...

Do they work? I've wanted LEGO Mr. Miyagi in my collection for a long time and these parts just recently became available. Wish there was a better head for Daniel, but I think Batman's does an okay job of imitating the headband.

This was shot on the Lomography Brighton RoadShow the other week.
It took me a while to get the images back as the lab had a bit of problems scanning the images. Lesson learnt. Scan them yourself.
I'm quite pleased with how the shots came out, considering that I had never used the camera before.
It's an interesting experience using a different type of camera for the first time. The Sprocket Rocket, takes panoramic images over 1 and a half frames. So although i'm comfortable composing images in the standard 2 x 3 ratio, this was slightly out of my comfort zone.
Also i'm really surprised by how dark some of the shots were. I was using an ISO 800 film and it wasn't exactly a dull day, sure it wasn't sunny, but the camera didn't handle the light well at all. Use a higher ISO film in this camera. I might try and shoot some 3200 black and white and develop it at home next time.
The final lesson I learned was that the viewfinder, is a bit crap. It seems to have cut off about 1/3 off the top of some of the shots. So thats noted for next time.

One of my entries to the Wabi-Sabi photo challenge on the @_toyphotographers_ group on Google+. Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese concept of finding beauty in the imperfect. This particular shot was a pain to get as the shrubs in the desert have long spikes all over them (not just cactus). The angle was slightly off from what I wanted and the image was a bit blurry, but these imperfections actually worked to my advantage when coming up with the commentary of hulkbuster failing at something.😂👍
Ever since the British Karate Federation 4 Nations Championships, Anvi has become so inspired, she has started practicing all the time to take part next year. In the kitchen, in her bedroom, in the garden, even in a corridor outside her swimming lessons. She is my little champ !
