Le château de Regnière-Écluse est un bâtiment constituant avec un grand parc, une réserve de chasse et une ferme-modèle : le domaine du comte d'Hinnisdal. L'ensemble est situé en Picardie maritime, au nord-ouest du département de la Somme, sur les communes de Regnière-Écluse, Vron et Machy.
L'ensemble du domaine est protégé au titre des monuments historiques : classement par arrêté du 20 juin 2006.
De nos jours, le domaine s’étend sur 810 hectares, le mobilier est reconstitué, le château restauré, et les rénovations nécessaires à sa bonne conservation se poursuivent encore actuellement.
Depuis 2008, le Domaine de Regnière-Ecluse a rejoint les sites du Conservatoire du littoral qui, avec l’Association pour la sauvegarde et la valorisation du Domaine millénaire de Regnière-Ecluse, assure la pérennité des lieux pour la transmission de cet important patrimoine aux générations futures.

Na de passage van de Ouigo bleven we nog even staan op ons plekje. Ervaring leert ons dat op een personentrein vaak cargo volgt - om het even in welk land je staat.
En dat was ook hier het geval, alleen passeerde de 1304 met zijn graantrein Tergnier - Aalst op het slechts denkbare moment: pal in de fotowolk. Ondertussen hadden we ook al gezien dat er iets meer naar de overweg toe nog een collega-treinfotograaf stond — via Instagram (Hervé Ferrosambre Avesnois) kwam ik er ondertussen achter wie dat was! Hij had nog een beetje licht op de kop van de locomotief.
We dachten dat het vat nu even op was en keerden op onze schreden terug naar de overweg waar ook onze auto geparkeerd stond, ondertussen kennismakend met onze collega. Hij wist echter ook niet of er nog iets zou volgen, dus begon het overleg met mijn broer waar nu heen. We bekeken snel wat spoorlijnen in de buurt, maar op de meeste waren de personentreinen afgeschaft wegens werkzaamheden — een typisch Frans fenomeen.
Of er cargo zou doorkomen? Daar wilden we niet op gokken, dus zou het Ath en de testritten van de TGV M worden. Maar hé, ging de overweg nu niet toe? Snel snel terug uit de auto, geen tijd om de ladder op te stellen, maar de aanstormende cargo stond wel mooi op de foto (al heb ik digitaal [M] wel een klein struikje voor de locomotief verwijderd).
Daarmee kwam al de derde Belgische trein voor de lens in Frankrijk… Na deze foto reden we door, en konden de daaropvolgende Hexafret enkel vanuit de wagen waarnemen. Spijtig, want deze was ook mooi in het zonnetje gekomen aangezien de wolken hier opnieuw als sneeuw voor de zon waren verdwenen.

After the Ouigo passed, we stayed at our spot a bit longer. Experience shows that freight often follows a passenger train — no matter which country you're in.
That was the case here too, but the 1304 with its Tergnier - Aalst grain train passed at the worst possible moment: right in a heavy cloud. Meanwhile, we noticed another photographer near the level crossing — through Instagram (Hervé Ferrosambre Avesnois) I found out who it was! He still had a bit of light on the locomotive front.
Thinking our luck had run out, we walked back to the car at the crossing and chatted with our colleague. He didn't know if anything else was coming either, so my brother and I discussed our next move. We checked nearby lines, but most passenger services were cancelled due to roadworks — a typical French phenomenon.
Would freight run? We didn't want to gamble on it, so we decided to head to Ath for the TGV M test runs. But wait, was the level crossing closing? We quickly jumped out of the car — no time to set up the ladder — but managed to catch the oncoming freight train ([M] digital removal of a small bush in front of the loco).
That made it three Belgian trains in France... After this shot we drove off, only able to spot the subsequent Hexafret from the car. A pity, as it ran in full sunshine after the clouds vanished again.

I photographed this storefront (flic.kr/p/2nzTDop) in the summer of 2022. Over three years on, there have been some subtle changes here.
The section on the right is for selling vegetables. The yellow lettering on the red paper in the shop says ‘Butterfly Crisp’, which means Palmier (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palmier). Three years ago, at the end of 2021, a film based on life in Shanghai was released in China, and it was a big hit. Even I didn't see it, I know that one of the plot points of the film was that one of the female characters liked to buy palmiers. As a result of this plot point, palmiers became a hot item in many pastry shops in Shanghai, with many non-Shanghai tourists even queuing up for more than four hours just to buy a bag of palmiers, a food item that before then was virtually unknown in China except for old Shanghainese people. This in turn led to many businesses that didn't sell palmiers to start selling them, but three years on, the palmier craze has cooled off and this vegetable shop is now selling them.
The left side has not changed much from three years ago. There are two pieces of white paper taped to the glass door with a tip about selling tea - the tea should be in the cupboard behind the door. In addition, two pieces of paper on the glass window contain information about rental properties and the agent's mobile phone number.
The lintel of the shop is full of small adverts for roller shutters, which didn't exist three years ago.
Anvilcloud and I hopped in the van made a rush to the old fire station to catch some of the light from this sunset unencumbered by hills and power lines. A photo he captured that evening may be seen here.
