En nog maar een foto uit de oude doos. Nu zou ik zo’n foto niet meer maken met al dat spoorwegmeubilair in beeld. Maar in dit geval geeft het het tijdsbeeld wel goed weer en vind ik dit op de een of andere manier een prachtige sfeerplaat. Het lijkt hier een drukte van belang als twee treinen halteren langs het perron van Goch. Als de drukte weer voorbij is, hoor je vervolgens alleen wat krekels en een enkele ‘Spatz’ fluiten. Op deze foto DB 215 014 die met een mix van Silberlingen en rijtuigen in oceaanblauw/beige kleurstelling gaat vertrekken in de richting van Weeze en Kevelaer. Links de laatste wagen van de trein naar Kleve Bf met DB 215 017 aan kop. Dat waren nog eens tijden. Opname in mei 1995.

Deutsch: jetzt würde ich ein Foto nicht mehr auf diese Weise machen, aber nach all den Jahren hat es auch etwas nostalgisches. Es sieht ganz beeindruckend aus wenn zwei Züge sich begegnen im Bahnhof von Goch. Nachdem beide Züge ihre Fahrt verfolgt haben, hört man nur noch die Grillen und irgendwo ein Spatz. Aufnahme in mai 1995.

Kop van Zuid is a neighborhood of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, located on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas opposite the center of town. The district is relatively young[when?] and includes the Wilhelmina Pier as well as the V bounded by the Rose Street and railway line on one side and the Rotterdam-Dordrecht Hilledijk, Hill Street and Rijnhaven on the other.

The Kop van Zuid is built on old, abandoned port areas around the Binnenhaven, Entrepothaven, Spoorweghaven, Rijnhaven and the Wilhelmina Pier. These port sites and the Nieuwe Maas made for a large physical distance between the center and north of the Maas and southern Rotterdam. By converting this area into an urban area, and providing better infrastructure, planners sought to unite the northern and southern parts of the city.
