Kansas City's Streetcar's car no. 803 debuted in this vinyl wrap for the city's MLS team, Sporting Kansas City at the beginning of this season. Alas, the timing of this, in March couldn't have been worse for me, as the Coronavirus put a pretty serious damper on my travels, along with the frequently questionable weather.
Regardless, while at a butcher shop just north of here, the Local Pig, this car rolled by, and I set out to shoot it. As a traction fan AND a massive Sporting KC supporter, I had to get some shots of it.
As best as I can tell, it’s the first convergence of transit and Major League Soccer.
