The Rano Kau is the largest volcanic crater and the most amazing natural wonder that can be seen on Rapa Nui. Its spectacular eruption, about two and a half million years, was one of three that gave rise to the island. Its crater is more than a kilometer in diameter and forms a spectacular natural amphitheater that’s about 200 meters deep and frames a large freshwater lake, which was once one of the main sources of fresh water for the Rapa Nui people.
Located in Rapa Nui National Park, Easter Island, the Rano Kau Crater is an extinct volcano created around 2.5 million years ago. Its freshwater lake—the island's largest—was a main source of water for ancient Orongo villagers. The crater is not as interesting as the giant Moai statues, but I was fascinated with the caldera’s numerous floating islands of totora reeds.

The Tuen Mun River is a river in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong. It has many tributaries, with major ones coming from Lam Tei, Kau Keng Shan, Hung Shui Hang and Nai Wai. It flows south, splitting Tuen Mun into a west side and an east side. It eventually feeds into the Tuen Mun Typhoon Shelter, which is part of Castle Peak Bay. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuen_Mun_River)

Ting Kau Bridge is said the world's first major 4-span cable-stayed bridge. It is one of the major connectors between the Hong Kong International Airport and the rest of Hong Kong.

Uno de los lugares mas importantes para visitar y donde se puede apreciar uno de los mejores paisajes de la isla es el cráter del volcán Rano Kau. Además, es el lugar donde los nativos solían vivir en villas llamado Villa Orongo.

Outra visão do vulcão Rano Kau. Neste local venta muito, esteja preparado. Mas é uma atração da ilha que não pode ser dispensada. O lago formado na cratera é um reservatório de água, e o seu acesso é vedado a quem não é da ilha.

Este é o vulcão Rano Kau, o vulcão de mais fácil acesso da ilha. Ele se situa no parque de Orongo, e pode ser acessado por estrada ou trilha. Parte de seu acesso se dá por dentro do Parque de Orongo, e o acesso a este parque depende de ingresso (na ilha de Páscoa apenas Orongo e o vulcão Rano Raraku exigem ingresso, todas as demais atrações são gratuitas. E o ingresso é o mesmo para estas duas atrações. Se for comprado no aeroporto, há um pequeno desconto).

Easter Island
This is an infrared panoramic of the largest of the three extinct volcanoes that formed the island around 200,000 years ago. You can see Poike volcano above the rim in the back. This rim is 1.063' tall and a mile wide. The freshwater lake is 330' about sea level. The little stone round house at the edge is one of 54 cerimonial houses perched on the edge of the crater and a 1,000' straight cliff. Notice the lake has many "floating islands" which are 3' deep known as totora's and are unstable. Joni and I hiked around this crater to the other edge where there isn't a road. Deceptively far away.

Kau Desert as viewed from its east side on the Hilina Pali Road. Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park has an amazing changing landscape. Here we went from lush rain forest to a dry basalt desert in a few miles. Small ʻŌhiʻa trees grow in the expansive collection of lava flows.

Ting Kau Bridge is a 1,177-metre (3,862 ft) long cable-stayed bridge in Hong Kong that spans from the northwest of Tsing Yi Island and Tuen Mun Road. It is near the Tsing Ma Bridge which also serves as a major connector between the Hong Kong International Airport on Lantau Island and the rest of Hong Kong. It was completed in 1998. The bridge is toll-free.
