Scalloped Hammerheads are the third largest Hammerhead Shark species behind the Great Hammerhead (Sphyrna mokarran) and the Smooth Hammerhead (Sphyrna zygaena) . All three of these large species of Hammerhead Shark live in the waters off Florida's coast. This Scalloped Hammerhead was around 8 feet long.

A French Angelfish on Scarface Reef, Jupiter, FL ~ 71 feet below the surface.

At ~30 feet down, the under water world loses the color red. It's the first color in the spectrum lost due to the lack of light under water. To bring this lovely color back and show the beauty of the coral reefs, one needs to add artificial light.

My first attempts at photography under water with a P&S Nikon in a special UW housing. Then I added a special strobe to add light and bring red back in :)
