I discovered these rustic, still-life objects in a man-made cave. This cave was situated on the nature grounds by a church in Palm Harbor, Florida. Around X-mas, this cave will be converted into a manger set, but in the interim the cave is dormant.

Alstroemeria and Jug, Croome Court, National trust, Worcestershire.
I'm an October child and this was one of my treats in my birthday week. Plus bacon sarnies in the 1940's style RAF canteen followed later by the biggest cream tea ever, the scones were massive..and delicious! Read the info on the link below for more fascinating info on Croome...

Croome Court is a mid 18th century Neo-Palladian mansion surrounded by an extensive landscaped parkland at Croome D'Abitot, near Pershore in south Worcestershire.
The former home of the 6th Earl of Coventry but now owned by the National Trust and work in progress to restore this once grand house to it's former glory. At the moment it's an extremely 'tired' shell but the grounds, church and parkland are wonderful. One of the first landscaping projects of the famous Capability Brown. Brown was hired in 1751 by the 6th Earl of Coventry who had inherited Croome at 28 and wanted the estate and house to be at the cutting edge of taste and design.

Macro mondays : I made this
---------------------------------------
When I can and have some time I like to make small crafts, with paper or molding with clay or mud, small glasses, small clay jugs like this one, but very simple, although it is difficult for me I keep trying.

American artist Frank Stella is known for his minimalist paintings and sculptures. He has had exhibitions at the MoMA in New York and museums in Europe and Asia. In 2009, President-elect Barack Obama awarded him the National Medal of Arts.
Choosing a location for the Broken Jug sculpture was a protracted process. After it couldn't be placed in Miami and Cherbourg, Harlingen was chosen. It was the perfect location for Stella since he was fascinated by its harbour and decided that 'where land and sea meet' (near the Tjerk Hiddes sluices) would be a beautiful location for his sculpture.
The reinforced concrete structure is 14 meters high and weighs 45 tons.
This is number 15 of the Harns/Harlingen album and number 49 of Naar het Noorden.
The Fink Water Jug, designed by Robert Foster, is now regarded as the flagship of the Fink collection and has been described as an Australian design icon.
I took this image within the National Gallery of Australia gift shop.
Seen in the Islamic department at the V&A, this exquisite jug and its reflection. I think they were creating art like this while we were still living in mud huts.....Not quite, perhaps, but a long long time ago!
An important bathroom utensil when I was living in India. It is also a symbol, just like water itself is. This is my second attempt at expressing visually the notion of 'some organs work, others don't'. The jug is almost empty now and, one day, there will be no more water. This is going to happen and I better get used to it. Does this stifle my creativity? Not a bit. So far.
