While 11,068 ft. Provo Peak looms in the nearby Wasatch, Utah Railway and Union Pacific EMDs idle in Provo, Utah on Nov. 25, 2018. Heartening to think these two carriers that shared a yard jointly when I was a young kid are still doing just that.

On my first trip to Colorado in May 1983 our group was surprised to see a southbound UP freight on the Joint Line south of Colorado Springs. We hadn't expected to see UP in these parts and guessed it was part of the changes that occurred with the December 22, 1982 UP-MP-WP merger.

The German Chancellery (German: Bundeskanzleramt, more faithfully translated as Federal Chancellery) is an agency serving the executive office of the Chancellor of Germany, the head of the federal government, currently Angela Merkel.

Opened in the spring of 2001, the current Chancellery building was designed by Charlotte Frank and Axel Schultes and was built by a joint venture of Royal BAM Group's subsidiary Wayss & Freytag and the Spanish Acciona. Occupying 12,000 square meters (129,166 square feet), it is also the largest government headquarters building in the world. By comparison, the new Chancellery building is ten times the size of the White House.

Because of its distinctive but controversial architecture, journalists, tourist guides and some locals refer to the buildings as Bundeswaschmaschine (federal laundry machine, because of the round-shaped windows and its cubic form).

Bundeskanzleramt - Das gleichermaßen spektakuläre wie umstrittene monumentale Bauensemble, entworfen von den Berliner Architekten Axel Schultes und Charlotte Frank, konnte nach dem ersten Spatenstich am 4. Februar 1997 nach knapp vierjähriger Bauzeit am 2. Mai 2001 vom damaligen Bundeskanzler Gerhard Schröder bezogen werden, wodurch der Regierungsumzug nach Berlin abgeschlossen wurde. Das bebaute Grundstück ist mit Hubschrauberlandeplatz und Kanzlerpark rund 73.000 m² groß. Mit einer Höhe von 36 Metern übertrifft das Gebäude die Berliner Traufhöhe von 22 Metern und ist das größte Regierungshauptquartier der Welt. Es ist rund achtmal so groß wie das Weiße Haus in Washington, zu dem allerdings noch weitere Gebäude gehören.

Vorwiegend von Touristenführern und Journalisten, aber auch im Berliner Volksmund wird das Bundeskanzleramt als Waschmaschine, und seltener als Bundeswaschmaschine oder Kanzlerwaschmaschine bezeichnet.

Bei unserer gemeinsamen Erkundung sind unsere Blicke nicht immer an der gleichen Stelle, aber im Ergebnis ergänzen wir uns sehr gut. Wo dein Blick beginnt, da setzt sich meiner fort. Im nächsten Fall funktioniert es aber auch umgekehrt. Es gibt so viel Schönheit, die sich nicht immer sofort ersehen lässt. So ist es auch mit uns beiden. Die verborgenen Schätze sind von Bedeutung und nicht das offensichtliche. Ruhe ist in diesem Kloster essentiell und genau das brauchen unsere beiden Herzen, denn Ruhe ist ein verborgener Schatz und Krach etwas offensichtliches. Sind unsere beiden Herzen zusammen, dann lässt sich aber auch fast jeder Krach ausblenden, denn wir sind zwei Herzen, die im gleichen Takt jeder Offensichtlichkeit einhalt gebieten und der Ruhe Platz verschaffen ❤️💕

As the name implies, the Colorado Joint Line is shared by both BNSF and Union Pacific, at least in theory. In practice, BNSF operates the vast majority of the train traffic as the route falls in the middle of a major north-south corridor for them. UP traffic is much more sparse, and most of it cuts off at Pueblo. In several days along the line, this southbound empty wind turbine train was the only UP movement that we shot, save for the Colorado Springs local. This train will re-load with windmill turbines in Pueblo, a relatively new traffic source in what's otherwise a bedridden steel town.

Ice clings to the grass as LTEX 4465 leads an eastbound KYLE train between Edson and Brewster. The jointed rail and train glint the setting sun as golden hour falls over the frozen plains. NW Kansas faired pretty well from what was predicted with Winter Storm Blair. I was hoping for some winter action but minimal snowfall and freezing fog is all we received.

وعندما غادر البحارة المطعم تركوا الوصفة لدى الطباخ ومنها بدأت انتشارها بأمريكا
