Joey is a bit of a loner, he came to live with us from a neighbour about 15 years ago, he stayed with us and our other cat for about 3 years then one morning he just left. Every now and again he comes back to see us, sometimes as long as a year can pass, then we make a fuss of him, give him something to eat, then he just wanders off, we have tried to get him to stay but to no avail, he must be at least 20 years old now. I'm not looking forward to day he never comes back.
After uploading The Beauty of the Morning I couldn't resist to show also her joey. No time to wipe the mouth before the shot ;-)

Jenny and Peter's Just Joey is coming into flower.
It has been a busy day, I will catch up soon.
The last Just Joey rose until later this year. The rose bushes are huge and it takes a lot of effort to prune them in July.
I was happy to see Joey at the farm yesterday. He's the farm owner's 10-year-old goldendoodle. He has the softest fur of any animal that I know. He's also very well trained, and let me pose him in various spots around the farm.

This is the first time I've tried a different lens in my camera and now I want to play some more!!
I am the first to admit this is far from perfect and I had now idea what I was doing but I just couldn't resist those beautiful blue eyes!!
Joe's much better now although still not himself and we've had a weekend off the decorating so we've been able to spend some family time together.

Starting at the top left and working counter-clockwise: Feeding Joey a honey water solution to rehydrate him.
Below left: His bed, 1/2 covering a heating pad on a lower setting.
Below right. Unfurling his blanket in prep before a feeding.
Top right: Being fed the next morning.
He was taken to a local wildlife rehab centre. We were glad we had rescued him and he was in good hands.

I haven't been on Flickr much but some of you may remember Jake and Joey. We lost Jake yesterday just a month short of their 20th birthday. We are so sad. (Jake is the white one)

Joey is the farm owner's dog, and is very sweet and obedient. I snapped some photos while she was showing some volunteers around. The black animal behind the fence is Cleo, a small goat.
