My new design for a wire wrap cross tutorial.. The cross is made with 1 wire in a continuous design, the center has a champagne freshwater pearl. the necklace has freshwater pearls with faceted citrine gemstones.
I've decided I am going to reveal some of the variations on my Soutache Braid that will be in the book. Most have been in the background for months, now - but a few choice friends have seen them up close.
Yes - this IS a variation on Soutache! I went back to my roots for this multi media piece - there is wire work, beading and sewing - all rolled into one fun pincushion POD Ring!!
Tutorial is available in my Etsy and Artfire shop (name of the shop Ellad2) and on my blog. Happy beading!
Another Soutache variation!!!!!
I've been wearing these Soutache Woven Lattice bracelets for months to get the natural patina, see how they held up in copper, and test the clasps. I love the Swarovski button centerpiece.
Wouldn't a plain band be fab with some wired charms and dangles????? Or maybe Lucite flowers?
I can't think of anything more jewel oriented than dupioni silk, and a Swarovski marguerite - can you?
That should be 'on an OLD Wrinkled hand' but I'm hoping y'all can overlook that, ☺☺☺ Believe it or not, it is really comfortable, and REALLY, TRULY functional!!

Showing my Southern roots while trying to get a good picture - the ring is buried in hominy grits, LOL
Stuff from the Button Box.......The watch is my Gramma's, the wooden spool with pink thread and the plain white buttons with bits of 'shirt' still attached were my my Mom's. ( I remember watching her cut those off all the time. :^D )
The lego was my son's, the enamelled metal button (we think it was on a uniform) was my Great Gramma's - the Pod Pincushion ring is mine. ☺☺☺
