Always a treat to see a ladybug. Found this in a park a few weeks ago. It was gone in a few seconds.
There’s something special about morning walks as the sun rises. The reflection of the sunrise in water of this Jensen Beach marina was an incredibly peaceful way to start the day.
This couple were listening to the live band playing on an outdoor patio across the street. We listened for a while too. They were great! The fence surrounded a parking lot for other shops and restaurants.
Happy Fence Friday!
I was taking a picture of something or other when I heard my husband exclaim "Whoa". I turned and saw this baby Green Iguana! Judging from its size, I don't think it was much more than 2yrs old.
I took this shot, but when I moved to get another angle, it took off...soooo fast, it was almost comical! (Have you ever seen what lizard legs look like as they're scurrying away?) It dashed into the nearby shrubs, and I waited a few for it to come back out, but it didn't.
This poor thing was probably someone's pet until it got a little older and it became obvious that they're very difficult to maintain...and downright dangerous as well. My understanding is that their teeth and tail are razor sharp.
Iguana wish you a Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday ;-)
The restaurant features New Orleans cuisine and the music was what one would expect. The band was terrific, and really livened up the entire area. During/after Covid, many restaurants offered makeshift al fresco dining areas which have become quite popular (especially in our temperate climate) and will probably remain.
Personally, I don't like swatting away bugs while I eat, but to each his own.

There were two birds that were quite entertaining to watch this morning at the park. This downy woodpecker was one of them. Didn't expect a shot worth posting but luckily I had the camera in auto mode.
A row boat that hasn't moved in years remains anchored on shore. One day the shifting sands and nature's elements will reclaim the vessel.
