James Ewell Brown "Jeb" Stuart was born on February 6, 1833, graduated from West Point in 1854 and served in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. Stuart was wounded on May 11, 1864 at Yellow Tavern near Richmond. He was taken to the home of his brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Brewer in Richmond where he died on May 12, 1864. General J.E.B. Stuart is resting in the Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
