stranger twenty eight
in the town of cairo in upstate new york
are painted bears scattered about town
its a thing the towns do up here
catskill has cats
hudson has the hudson dog
cairo has bears
so while out on my mission
jeb rolls into my shot
and is curious as to why i was in the middle of the street
taking this picture
i loved the way his striped polo matched the masonic temple
and asked him if he wouldn't mind posing for me
he lives in the town and was riding home from work
that's all i got out of him
