Rose water has a very distinctive flavour and is used in Middle Eastern, Persian, and South Asian cuisine—especially in sweets such as Turkish delight, barfi, baklava, halva, gulab jamun, knafeh, and nougat. Rose petals or flower buds are sometimes used to flavour ordinary tea, or combined with other herbs to make herbal teas. A sweet preserve of rose petals called gulkand is common in the Indian subcontinent. The leaves and washed roots are also sometimes used to make tea.
Gulab jamun (also spelled gulaab jamun) is a milk-solid-based South Asian sweet, particularly popular in the Indian subcontinent, notably India, Nepal (where it is known as lal mohan), Pakistan and Bangladesh, as well as Myanmar. It is also common in Mauritius Fiji, southern and eastern Africa, Malay Peninsula, and the Caribbean countries of Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname and Jamaica. It is made mainly from milk solids, traditionally from freshly curdled milk. It is often garnished with dried nuts like almonds to enhance flavour.
Preparation
In India, milk solids are prepared by heating milk over a low flame for a long time until most of the water content has evaporated. These milk solids, known as khoya in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan, are kneaded into a dough, sometimes with a pinch of flour, and then shaped into small balls and deep-fried at a low temperature of about 148°C. The balls are then soaked in a light sugary syrup flavored with green cardamom and rose water, kewra or saffron. Gulab jamun is available commercially, at South Asian restaurants or pre-prepared either in tins or as kits to be prepared at home. It is not cheese.

Sir Edwin Lutyen, British architect and visionary, was called upon to design a new capital for the British rulers of India. His brief was unambiguous, the new capital should match, if not improve upon, the grandeur and vastness of the world’s best cities, yet capitalize on the intricacy of the Indian architecture. 2800 acres of land was carved outside the old city, away from the hustle and bustle of Chandni Chowk and the ramparts of the Red Fort.
With a free hand to draw as he pleased, Lutyen sketched out the flowing lines of New Delhi - the Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House), the Parliament, the magnificent drive or Raj Path from the President’s house to the India Gate and the Canopy beyond for the statue of King George.
Offices of the British Resident, the North and the South Blocks, flanking the side of the Rashtrapati Bhavan melted into the buildings that housed the local administration. Deep set and overlooking the large greens dotted with small streams and fountains and planted with the saplings of the shade-giving and water-conserving Jamun tree, the gracious India Gate lawns were regal in their splendour.

Now is your time! Choose one of your resin boy/girl and tell us 10 random facts about him/her!
He sprang up right in front, about 10 meters away from where I sat.
My nephew seated on my left side was watching something else unaware of the visitor right in front. Just few minutes back I have told him that I could smell elephants and being late afternoon, it was the usual time of elephant movement.
Just a glimpse of this mature heavy adult male staring at us at close quarters, sniffing the air, ears held out straight and with one leg held up, ready to charge forward; I clicked a picture, turned my head to the left with my eyes still watching his moves, whispered to my nephew, "Bison...Don't look straight...don't move". In a reflex, seeing my head turned to the left, he turned his head to the left and was searching for the bison till I made things clear in the faintest whisper possible. Finally, he understood what I meant and with his head turned to the left, watched the visitor with a sideways glance.
The bison's next move being quite unpredictable, gently placed his raised foot down and started looking down, sniffing the ground. He was at ease, munching the ripe and rotten Jamun (Syzygium cumini ) fruits scattered on the ground and didn't seem to care about our presence after that.
