I took this photo of the Nicholson 70 while she was on her first sea trials in The Solent in 1982. I was a foreman boatbuilder at the time working for Camper & Nicholsons in charge of the fit out. I was out in a motorboat taking a video of her and the South African skipper of Blue Jacket gave me his still camera and asked me to take some shots with it. This is one of those which he presented to me as a framed print when they were about to leave for charters in the West Indies. I recently took a shot of the print with my Canon camera.
So its not too bad considering.
Camper and Nicholsons started building boats in 1782 on it's site in Gosport. You can see some of the fantastic yachts built there if you enter Camper & Nicholsons and search photos on flickr.
The Wasatch mountains get their first taste of snow. I love wearing a jacket, all those extra pockets. This is my time of year.

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Button".
I spent a while trying to come up with something for this theme and eventually found one of my son's denim shirts and I quite like this one because I noticed on the breast pocket not only the button but also a motif. Also the different colours were interesting from the yellow Eagle, the Orange stitching and of course the blue shirt.
Here I placed the shirt on a small table and suspended my camera over the top by getting the tripod's centre column horizontal. Next I added my flashgun and diffused the light to stop glare reflecting off the button.
I’m just back from the Winter holiday … One more day left
Yes … going back to reality from The day after tomorrow … :(( !?
Anyway, fluffy collar and Fluffy yeti boots make my feet warm … :))

I'm stunned by the quality of the Hasselblad X2D and XCD 120 Macro lens. The colours are like nothing that I've seen from a camera and the micro-details are extraordinary!
This image is one of the first test shots on my barely used Hasselblad X2D 100C together with a used Hasselblad XCD 120mm ƒ/3.5 Macro lens. I'm absolutely blown away by the quality and colours of the few photos that I've already managed to take, but can't wait to go out and take some more. This was a somewhat difficult purchase for me, as I had to sell all of my Leica gear, including my beloved M Monochrom (typ 246) and M-Summicron 50mm (VI), as well as all associated lenses, etc.
It does however mean, through my lifetime of saving up to buy a Leica and subsequent Leicas that even though I'm now Leica-less, I appreciate and still love the brand but I just can't get away from the fact of the even better quality and colour science of Hasselblad. Incidentally and unfortunately, I had to sell my Hasselblad 503 CW too.
Long live the X2D! Hopefully I've made the right decision and can justify the camera with my art.

This sticker was seen in Munich one week ago. And it exactly mirrors what me makes so sad at the moment. Everywhere you see people wearing those hipster-in the wild survival jackets with fur collars in every pervert color you can imagine. And the most of them believe it´s not an authentic one. The seller said it´s made of artificial fur. Wake up! Authentic fur is cheaper than artificial one! In 99,9% you wearing real dogs & cats which where skinned alive!
Please don´t buy this kind of clothes. You won´t need it to survive...but they will do.
