I love this wonderful bird stamp so I have been experimenting with a few ideas. I'm entering this card in the Hero Arts Just for Her and Sketch Challenge. (April 2013) I lowered the sentiment banner from the original sketch to accommodate the bird stamp on the upper portion of the card. I used distress markers and water to create watercolor effects. Thanks for looking.
Supplies: Hero Arts Wise Bird (H5719), Hero Arts Tropical Leaf (B5724), Hero Arts Tweed Pattern (S5654), Hero Arts Year Round Sentiments (CL582), Hero Arts Fantastic Flourishes (JS169), Hero Arts Wet Cement Layering Papers (PS693), Studio Calico Snippets Patterned Paper, Ranger DIstress Inks and Markers (Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick), Hero Arts Wet Cement Shadow Ink, VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder.
I wanted to try out my GIGA Scallop Punch and this was my 1st attempt at trying it.... I love that punch!
Here are the supplies I used:
K5147 Scallop Background
S5055 Floating Leaf Pattern
JS169 Fantastic Flourishes
CL139 Birthday Messages
CL184 Thoughtful Messages
CH166 Art Flowers Pastel Collage
CH152 Art Flowers Neutral
CH117 Assorted Crystal Gems
I wanted to try something that was a little "different" style than my "usual"! I like Jacqueline's work, but I KNOW this isn't just like hers......I'm missing the "DREAMY" portion! My tag is TINY!! It's the heart tag, tied to the die cut large scallop heart.....at least I'm trying to step out of my "comfort zone". I must admit that this card was FUN to put together!! Honestly, EVERYONE INSPIRES ME! Thanks for looking.
Love, Karen
This is inspired by Nancy's black & white gift package and all the ones that had black & white submissions. The four scallop corners have black gems, the others just punch holes.

I made the #5 embellishment from a recycled Kashi bar box. I painted it with acrylic paint and let it dry. Then I embossed it with flourishes using VersaMark and then heat embossed with Ranger Seafoam White. Finally, I added 4 layers of UTEE. I really like how it turned out!

Made this card with the hero arts challenge in mind and the moxie fab water color challenge in mind and of course my wonderful Mom!
I am taking a Zutter class on the web and this is the first project : an accordeon album. I made it to hold homemade cards and envelopes. I'm thinking that it would be a good idea for a gift. The patterned papers are from K &Co. (a coordinated pack that I bought). I did not have the leather closure as was suggested in the calss, so I used a ribbon. The word "cards"; is stamped was Hero Arts alphabet stamps. I also stamped a background of flowers (from Hero Arts) under the word cards. The shape is cut with a new Sizzix die and the navy blue is a Nestability die. The flower is a Stampin'Up Sizzix die. All the solid colour cardstocks are Stampin'Up.
The top and bottom borders were punched with Martha Stewart punches.
