It was the passion for cars and strong interest in Porsche brand that made me think about this university project aimed on demonstrating my User Experience and Web Design skills. The basic idea was to give users a unique experience while taking a journey through the history of Porsche. The whole experience is built on decade music and parallax scrolling photos of cars that are transformed while scrolling down.

Editor + renderer = usable toolset

Mucking around with ProcessingJS today. This is a really simple demo using this code as a starting point. The key points:

- using the native Processing editor to work with code (advantage of syntax highlighting etc)

- using a simple trick to "auto-load" the code saved from the native processing using JQuery in the browser. You can find the technique here.

So what do I have?

Well I have an editor that works, a render page that automatically loads files from the file system instead of inline files. I also have a technique to use JQuery with ProcessingJS.

This is turning out to be a handy development toolset.

Most Quick Left Hackfests are what you build in 3 hours or less. But this time, we didn't focus on what you built...but how you got there. On March 27, the Rube Goldberg Hackfest kicked off with nearly 100 folks and 4 teams ended up competiting in the end for prizes from our sponsors: Gnip, ATOMS, Mobiplug, and KST.

Joomla blog for students preparing to matriculation examination in foreign language (english)

We've all heard the surrealists favourite joke, "When is a bicycle not a bicycle? When it's a fish" and very amusing it is too, but the issue of declining fish stocks throughout the world's oceans is no laughing matter these days.

Fish2fork is the world’s first website to review restaurants according to whether their seafood is sustainable, and not just how it tastes. As the site expanded and the necessity for multiple languages and country-specific content became apparent, the sites original CMS wasn’t able to cover all the bases. We introduced them to Sitecore CMS, a platform more than powerful enough to solve the problems they were facing.

We gave the site a new design with some jquery goodness and a hint of flash to give it a lift. We also introduced a modular structure to the site, thereby enabling Fish2Fork to control not just the site content, but also (via Sitecore) its layout too.

So now, not only do you know at least one fish-based gag, you also need never eat fish from an unsustainable source ever again, even if some restaurants continue to serve it.
