This screenshot shows the speed test server interface with the client in the foreground. Here's how it works:
1) You start the speed test server via the PyCI interface (or run it by hand on the command line =)
2) You start the client and give it the hostname of the speed test server.
Once the test has started both the server and the client will update their displays with the latest average speed calculated every 100 packets.
One cool thing you can do is have one person run around with a laptop running the client while any number of people (with permission) can view the speed test results on the server at the same time from their own PCs.
The test uses TCP packets and does its best to send/receive as many packets as possible. The test will run until either the speed test server is stopped or the client stops/disconnects.

The new jQuery site design has sparked a conversation about whether it is portraying the right kind of image to it's users.
As a quick reference I knocked up this image of the site without the "Rock-star" illustration.
EDIT I should probably mention I didn't design this site, all I did was remove the (cool but inappropriate) illustration.

This mash-up on the White House web site was created to demonstrate the diverse comments coming in from individuals around the world in response to President Obama's recent trip to Africa.
This project involved Twitter, Google Maps, and OpenLayer maps API integration.
This is what the EFTW terminal looks like after some commands have been run.
Full-screen applications like vi and top don't work (yet) and ongoing applications like ping pose some issues but other than that it works great!
I should have the control-c (SIGINT) problem solved soon but the full-screen part will probably take me some time. I don't quite understand Python's pty/tty/fnctl modules yet.
A portfolio website for a great local design group, Craig Wickersham Architects.
The website uses some neat CSS and jQuery tricks for the overall layout. Check out the CSS switcher when clicking the "View Project Grid". I also made use of transparency levels in .png files when including the image of a ruler at the bottom of the page. This way the main "sketch" background of the site is being seen through in a very subtle way. It's all in the little details. :)
The purpose of the project was to show off Craig's completed work, as well as those projects in progress, and some random sketches from his sketchbook. The website was built using ExpressionEngine CMS, and made heavy use of the Photo Gallery module within the application to easily update each of the listed projects and all other content.
