St. Anthony’s Bakery in Brooklyn was in business for over 90 years before recently closing when the owners decided to finally retire. This second-generation owned Italian bakery was founded by Frank Scillaci’s uncle after he emigrated from Palermo, Italy 🇮🇹. When we took this film photo & interviewed Frank for our book “Store Front II- A History Preserved” in 2009 he told us that “One of the things that makes our bakery special is that we use a brick coal-fired oven to make all our fresh breads & cookies .” (Swipe left for 2nd photo of Frank & the coal-fired oven).

If you are interested in prints of this lovely bakery, please DM or email us: jandk(at)jamesandkarlamurray.com as we will be adding this image to our print portfolio

On the way to Juneau

Looking in the direction of Photoksur village (in valley, not visible in photo), Bumiktse La (4400 metres) and Sengi La (4900 metres). The "impressive peak" near Sengi La referred to in Charlie Loram's book, Trekking in Ladakh - www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/1873756755/ref=dp_top_cm... - is clearly visible (move pointer over photo to see note).

It was so hot and I was exhausted. I napped in the basement, thought I had slept enough, came upstairs and fell asleep for another little nap. At least Sandy was happy.

This aluminum dibond print has a glossy finish, and is 100% water-resisitant and protected from sunlight as well as easy to clean with a glass cleaner. We photographed Live Bait in 2010 for out book "New York Nights" and interviewed the owner about the history of this iconic dive bar in the Flatiron district. We are happy that we can now not only offer unmounted limited edition prints of our storefront photography to our clients but also these visually stunning and durable metal prints. Team Pretty Girls member smoking ON THE COURT! Nice. Very nice. I have a feeling that this girl is high maintenance.

Submitted to Monthly Scavenger Hunt - November, High Maintenance.

Submitted to Monthly Scavenger Hunt, May 2008 - Now, that was refreshing! You know, it's hard work "playing" beach volleyball. A nice cigarette for when the game's over. Unless you're this girl and you don't wait for the game to end.

I originally wrote, "To identify the Gompa (monastery), pass the pointer over the photo", but Flickr appears to have deteriorated in the meantime to the extent of removing this facility..

In order to reach Matho, I took one of the frequent buses from Leh to Stakna, which I had already visited here: www.flickr.com/photos/14958189@N06/sets/72157627755302843/. I then proceeded across country from Stakna to Matho. There isn't a path, so I had to improvise, but it was fun.

These asses were too timid and far too far away to kick, kiss or lick.
