Usually the Innovative Technologies Complex and the Research Foundation packed with students and researchers. But, there's this pandemic, you know … the sky is nice, though.

The last of the hippie houses still hang tight for now, shedding storms and wearing weather. I came and cut a bunch of brush and branches back in March, so maybe she wouldn't be swallowed by summer. Now there's a kind of cocoon among the undergrowth, just enough to ring round the structure. The Shrine holds sadness well, built in memory of a son who died, sometime before his mom and dad's marriage died with him. The broke-up couple went back to the States, and now, no one even remembers their names. What remains is this sorrowful trapezoid, strange coffin motif on the front – and tiny metal cross in a triangle window, just under the peak of the roof. A few feet away lies the banks of Starratt Brook, down to a tiny trickle this time of year. Those long-forgotten residents practiced isolation meditation, but I prefer a little more chaos in my solitude. Going wild all alone, victim of imagination and loving it. Shouting out at cracking branches, chattering chipmunks and the smell of skunk, being one of the wildlife. This place brings out the animal in me.

I love this picture of this fairly lonesome tree. It hasn't even got leaves to keep it company.

View Large for best viewing -- these were small branches of small trees, and I was fascinated with the teeny tiny droplets of water formed all along the teeny tiny spider webs, like strands of pearls. The larger single drop contains an upside down reversed picture of the background, the foggy woods and sun shining through.

Taken a couple of weeks ago whilst out and about for a lovely walk in the countryside. Didn't see many people during this walk but now "self isolation" means even less people are out and about!!

Thanks to everyone who views this photo, adds a note, leaves a comment and of course BIG thanks to anyone who chooses to favourite my photo .... Thanks to you all!

The pandemic is forcing us to do many things in isolation but that won’t stop us from enjoying some much anticipated sunshine!

A dirt path winds along the edge of a calm river, leading away from the deep shadows cast by a large concrete bridge. Lush green trees and grassy banks line the water, creating a peaceful contrast to the industrial structure overhead. The bright sunlight illuminates the landscape, highlighting the natural beauty found just beyond the urban architecture.

The fundamental fear of man is according to Fromm that isolation from their own kind: the man needs to be in relation with others to stay healthy mentally, and a sense of complete isolation can lead to madness. This fear then leads man to accept the social taboos, whose awareness to condemn the isolation. The individual is thus pushed to accept not see what the group contends does not exist, and to judge how real what the group was considered such. Opinions and feelings of the group should be set up so for the individual rating a reality more valid than that which would have suggested his critical thinking and its sentiments.

As the Corona Virus impacts the country, we have all become soldiers against the invisible enemy. Currently, our only defense is to isolate ourselves. We don't know how long this will last, but I know brighter days are ahead.
