Yesterday I got up early to vote for the Pennsylvania primary. The polling center was in an unfamiliar neighborhood, which is always fun for me. I swear, Philadelphia can seem like 100 separate cities all in one. This particular neighborhood probably hasn't changed since 1962.

The people at the polling center were really nice. After voting, I was so revved up from fulfilling my patriotic duty I thanked nearly everyone at the place, maybe even some non-volunteers. Then I told one of them that upon entering the voting booth, I got so overwhelmed I momentarily lost the ability to read. I'm always so worried I'm going to choose the wrong candidate. Even after I've verified my choice at least 5 times I'm still not sure I got it right. Then I start to worry that I'm jamming up the line and it just gets worse.

Eight years of a moronic president will do that to a person, I suppose. Or maybe I'm just nuts.

On the job we're working on now, our producer's logo animation idea was inspired by the Phantom Zone from "Superman II" (1980). After I finished another graphic for the job, I realized I had also subconsciously quoted a film: "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" (1979).
