"Nothing matters but the facts. Without them, then science of criminal investigation is nothing more than a guessing game."

No shortage of Hummingbird visitors this morning when I put the feeders back out after last night's storm.

Also in our 'human' world there all several investigators trying to find clues to resolve the mystery of the eating of "Fish".

So if you encounter one of these characters, please help them and give them the information they want, so they can unlock doors and hopefully find hidden traces..........

Thank you for visiting my photo stream.

Happy Caturday to everybody !!

White on white

I had a couple of good ones but I always love the wee people for some reason.

White on white and then on white...right?

Happy Macro Mondays

After spending time investigating Roberts Creek, I drove along the coastal road and found the Roberts Creek Provincial Park. This entire area attracts a good deal of tourism in the summer so this time of year finds those same places somewhat empty of people. Except for one other person, this place was mine to play in.

After many angles, and numerous shots, this is the image that was in my mind. The sweeping stone stairs on a hill had drawn my attention, with the carpet of Autumn leaves laying undisturbed. Their vivid colors were in stark contrast to the grey stairs, while the fence and green foliage would support them in the background. I wanted to exaggerate the stairs and how they swept across the view so getting close with a wide angle lens was necessary. It was a fun afternoon with the time needed to find what lay behind the camera.

The RV Investigator is a 94 metre long marine research vessel that "supports biological, oceanographic, geological and atmospheric research, as well maritime training and education and outreach activities. It accommodates 40 researchers and technicians and 20 crew, and has an endurance of 60 days and 10,000 nautical miles without resupply." mnf.csiro.au/en/RV-Investigator

As I was taking some photographs from our hotel balcony the Investigator maneuvered into position and docked. An impressive operation.

Confidential information, it's a diary

This is my investigation, it's not a public inquiry

I go checking out the reports, digging up the dirt

You get to meet all sorts in this line of work

Treachery and treason, there's always an excuse for it

And when I find the reason I still can't get used to it

And what have you got at the end of the day?

What have you got to take away?

A bottle of whiskey and a new set of lies

Blinds on the window and a pain behind the eyes

Scarred for life, no compensation

Keep your nose to the ground and your ears wide open. That's the key to being a good investigative dog. Or so says Jasper

ENGLISH

Aglais io, the European peacock, more commonly known simply as the peacock butterfly, is a colourful butterfly, found in Europe and temperate Asia as far east as Japan. It was formerly classified as the only member of the genus Inachis (the name is derived from Greek mythology, meaning Io, the daughter of It should not be confused or classified with the "American peacocks" in the genus Anartia; while belonging to the same family as the European peacock, Nymphalidae, the American peacocks are not close relatives of the Eurasian species. The peacock butterfly is resident in much of its range, often wintering in buildings or trees. It therefore often appears quite early in spring. The peacock butterfly has figured in research in which the role of eyespots as an anti-predator mechanism has been investigated. The peacock is expanding its range and is not known to be threatened.

Brick Lane Doors

This is a collection of Doors from Brick Lane, London within Frames. The frames are fashioned from bits of metal or cloned from other Graffiti or where ever. As my health has deteriorated I have had to give up my Camera Club and so have more time to spend to look and edit my photography. I have over 20,000 images still to investigate and experiment with. Sounds good to me.
