This golden dragon has been installed in -of corse- Chinatown of Paris. This was the first new space invader in the night of 30/09/2015 as PA_1179 till PA_1182 were installed the same night as well.

Place Aminadabu Birara
In November 2021, the city of Paris took the decision to name a square in the 18th arrondissement in the name of Aminadabu BIRARA. Surviving the successive massacres of 1959, 1962, 1963 and 1973, he was the organizer of the resistance against the genocidaires on the hills of Bisesero during the genocide of the Tutsi in 1994.
The hills of Bisesero occupy a special place in the history of the genocide of the Tutsi in Rwanda. They have been considered, since 1959, as a place of refuge and resistance. From the start of the genocide, in April 1994, thousands of Tutsi living in the surrounding communes again converged on these hills, a rallying point for the resistance but also in the hope of escaping the killers.
The inauguration of this square took place Friday, May 13, 2022.
Rue Ferdinand Flocon
Rue Ferdinand Flocon is a 140 meters long and 12 meters wide street in the 18ème arrondissment of Paris. Starts at Place Aminadabu Birara and ends at 43, rue Simart.
This street was opened in 1882 and took the name of "rue Flocon" in 1885, before being renamed more explicitly "rue Ferdinand-Flocon" in 1905.
The street has been "piétonissée" (pedestrianized) since September 1, 2020.
It bears the name of Ferdinand Flocon (1800-1866), French journalist and politician.

On the night of February 19th, Invader added four space invaders in Paris. A striking detail is that these four (PA_1556 through PA_1559) use a new type of mosaic tile with a slightly curved front. I'm posting these four in the order I visited and flashed them. I came to Paris on the beautiful sunny day of February 25th to photograph these four in good lighting conditions. PA_1557, however, will never experience direct sunlight. It's located near Pont Neuf.

A space invader in the center of Paris in the style of the ESA (European Space Agency). Invader invaded the locations of ESA in Redu (Belgium), Frankfurt (Germany), Noordwijk and Paris and this one can be considered as an urban satalite of these special invasion waves. This one is located low and quite fresh during my visit.
