Denali National Park, an immense subarctic wilderness, was originally established to protect its large mammals.
However, the main attraction is magnificent Mt McKinley, a high pyramid of rock, snow and glaciers rising from the valley floor. Dominating this skyline is North America's highest peak; Mount McKinley standing tall at 20,320 feet and one of the most amazing sights in Alaska.
The Denali park road can be used only by official shuttle buses (you can see one on the dirt road), which have limited seating. As a result Denali National Park is still the great wilderness it was 20 years ago.

These magic nights when you get to sleep surrounded by nature, gazing at the starry sky that takes your breath away. Seems impossible to close your eyes when you have this spectacle up there.

It is sick, and can't go so far. It fails to flee as soon as we approach. He is unusually 'fat'. In his eyes permanently closed, and remains isolated compared to others who stay in a group. I hope it can rest in peace.

Water spills in silver ribbons down the rugged face of Esk Falls, carving its way through dark, ancient rock before gathering in a quiet, glassy pool below. The cliffs rise steep and textured, their rough edges softened by tufts of green that cling stubbornly to every ledge.
All around, Cumbria breathes in deep, earthy tones—moss, grass, and stone woven together in a landscape that feels both raw and timeless. A lone figure stands high above, small against the scale of it all, a reminder of how vast and untamed this place remains.
The sound of falling water echoes through the valley, steady and unhurried, as if time itself moves differently here—measured not in moments, but in the endless flow of the falls.

A sweeping view unfolds from the summit of Ingleborough, where rugged limestone outcrops rise from a carpet of windswept grass. A lone, resilient tree clings to the rocky slope, its leaves bright against the muted earth tones. Beyond it, the land stretches into rolling green valleys and distant Pendle Hill, softened by atmospheric haze. Overhead, a vast sky churns with thick, textured clouds, broken in places to reveal patches of blue, casting shifting light and shadow across the landscape. Schon wieder kann ich einen POI von meiner "möchte dorthin-Liste" streichen. Ich denke es war auch die optimale Jahreszeit, denn es war jetzt schon problematisch einen Moment abzupassen, ohne "Beiwerk-Personen" ein Foto hin zu bekommen.
After days of rain the sky finally broke up. So I went out in the field with the camera and captured a fine scenery in front of a dramatic sky. Love the glow and texture of the foreground rock.
