HVLE rijdt dagelijks een kalktrein vanuit de kalkgroeve van de firma Fels-Werke in Rübeland via Blankenburg(Harz) naar het bij Braunschweig gelegen Beddingen. De kalk wordt in de staalproductiefabrieken van Salzgitter AG gebruikt in het productieproces van diverse staalproducten.
Terwijl de beladen kalktrein altijd 's nachts rijdt, vertrekt de lege trein terug naar de kalkgroeve in de namiddag uit Beddingen. Aangezien er geen directe route mogelijk is naar de kalkgroeve rijdt de trein een aanzienlijk eind om; via Helmstedt en Magdeburg.
Tot aan de hoofdstad van de Duitse deelstaat Sachsen-Anhalt rijdt de trein 'fout voor de zon'. Pas bij het even ten zuiden van Magdeburg gelegen Schönebeck(Elbe) verlaat de trein de geëlektrificeerde hoofdlijn. Vanaf hier wordt weer in westelijke richting gereden (en daarmee goed voor de zon in de avond!). De trein vervolgt hier zijn route naar Blankenburg via een aantal ongeëlektrificeerde spoorlijnen.
Omdat het op zaterdag 24 augustus erg rustig was met leuke goederentreinen op de hoofdlijn Magdeburg-Braunschweig besloot ik de lege HVLE kalktrein te gaan vastleggen. Omdat er vrijwel geen fotomogelijkheden op internet stonden moest ik er zelf naar op zoek gaan.
Even ten westen van het stationnetje Schönebeck Bad Salzelmen bleek vanaf het talud van de Bundesstraße een heel fraai zicht op het diesellijntje Schönebeck-Staßfurt. Helemaal zeker dat de trein hier langs zou komen was ik niet, maar bij het speuren op maps.google vond ik eigenlijk geen andere mogelijke routes dus werd de gok genomen.
Na een ruim half uur wachten sloot de spoorwegovergang in de verte aan de rand van het bos zich en dook in de verte een oranje lok op! Goed nieuws, de trein kwam er aan! En zo kon de V330.3 van HVLE met de lege kalktrein uit Beddingen worden vastgelegd bij Schönebeck(Elbe) op weg naar Blankenburg. Tevreden werd in de auto gestapt, want omdat de trein nog een behoorlijke omweg moest rijden zou er misschien nog wel een foto mogelijk zijn... Maar daarover later meer...
Der Turning Torso („Drehender Rumpf“) ist ein vom spanischen Architekten Santiago Calatrava im Stil des Dekonstruktivismus erbautes Hochhaus in der schwedischen Stadt Malmö. Mit einer Höhe von 190 Metern und 54 Etagen ist das Gebäude der höchste Wolkenkratzer Skandinaviens und das dritthöchste Wohngebäude Europas. Es wurde am 27. August 2005 eingeweiht. Das Gebäude gilt seither neben der Öresundbrücke als das neue Wahrzeichen von Malmö.
Der Turning Torso steht in Västra Hamnen, dem westlichen Hafengebiet von Malmö, in unmittelbarer Nähe des Öresunds.
The Turning Torso is a skyscraper built in the Swedish city of Malmö by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava in the style of deconstructivism. With a height of 190 meters and 54 floors, the building is the tallest skyscraper in Scandinavia and the third tallest residential building in Europe. It was inaugurated on August 27, 2005. The building is now considered the new landmark of Malmö, next to the Öresund Bridge.
The Turning Torso is located in Västra Hamnen, the western harbor area of Malmö, in the immediate vicinity of Öresund.

Débutant au niveau de l'opéra Bastille au début du viaduc des Arts, elle suit une bande de terrain de 4,7 km de long jusqu'au boulevard périphérique au niveau de la porte de Montempoivre (précisément à la jonction du boulevard Carnot, de l'avenue Émile-Laurent et de la rue Édouard-Lartet où l'on y accède par soit un escalier moderne en colimaçon, soit par une pente douce).
À partir de Bastille, la promenade suit tout d'abord un trajet sud-est sur le viaduc des Arts, à une dizaine de mètres au-dessus de l'avenue Daumesnil.

Listed as UNESCO in 2010, the Zhangye Danxia Landform area is known as “the eye candy of Zhangye”. Many artists admire this masterpiece as it is unbelievably colorful, like a n imaginative oil painting . Zhangye's Danxia landscape has lots of precipitous red cliffs, most of which are several hundred meters high, and multicolored ridges of weathered strata, sometimes stretching to the horizon. These formations, sometimes smooth sometimes sharp, stand out against the greens or grays of the plains , looking grand and magnificent, vigorous and virile.
Across the Danxia landscape zone, a kaleidoscope of numerous red rocky outcrops resemble weird and wonderful shapes like castles, cones, towers ; as well as humans, creatures, birds and beasts. Their peaks peeping through the mist and clouds, produce mirage-like scenery of fantastic mountains and pavilions.
Zhangye 's Danxia was formed by the erosion of red sandstone, forming isolated peaks and steep stratified outcrops. Its special geological structure, combined with long-term desert conditions , freeze-thaw peeling, and wind and water erosion gave rise to its present appearance.
Geologists believe that Danxia topography is formed by folding of layered oceanic crust. Exposed slanting rock layers have different colors, textures, shapes, sizes, and patterns. The combination of differences in density and erosion create towering peaks, cave holes, and stone halls. (Sourced from Internet)
甘肅張掖國家地質公園位於中國甘肅省張掖市, 規劃面積322平方公里。 2012年4月, “甘肅張掖丹霞地質公園” 國家地質公園（建設）資格被國土資源部批准。 2016年6月, 經實地驗收, 國土資源部同意命名該處為 “甘肅張掖國家地質公園”。這裡曾因其色彩斑斕的岩石地貌而被中國多家媒體選為中國最美地貌之一, 於2008年1月被甘肅省人民政府批准為省級“肅南－臨澤丹霞地貌風景名勝區”。
該公園位於祁連山北麓, 臨澤縣和肅南縣境內。兩縣均在甘肅省地級市張掖統轄範圍內。丹霞地貌主要分佈在康樂鄉和白銀鄉地段。臨澤丹霞景區是公園的核心區域, 距張掖市區以西30公里, 臨澤縣城以南20公里。這是整個公園發展最為完善, 遊客人數最多的一個景區。 第二大景區冰溝位於梨園河北岸, 於2014年8月3日正式揭牌。 冰溝佔地總面積為300平方公里, 海拔1500-2500米。 第三大景區肅南丹霞景區位於甘肅省臨澤縣。
張掖丹霞因其與眾不同的岩石色彩而舉世聞名。這些岩石光滑而險峻, 高數百米, 是紅礫石, 砂岩和其他礦物經過2400萬年的沉澱堆積而成。這種夾層蛋糕 般的效果與構成喜馬拉雅山脈的地殼板塊運動有關。經年累月的風吹雨淋，最終被雕琢成了如今這番奇特景象, 或形似塔, 或貌似柱, 或溝壑縱橫, 色彩斑斕, 形態各異。

The Internet at our house had gone down earlier this afternoon. Spent an afternoon trouble shooting with AT&T tech support to no avail. It appeared to be something to do with my broadband modem, which has been with us for almost 10 years. Hopefully, the technician would come tomorrow morning and replace it. Until then, I can only post my daily photo from my phone. Without Internet, I feel like our house is in chaos like this photo and I am just the little guy at the left hand corner feeling helpless. Credit to my wife for taking this photo of me and the "House of Chaos".

Due to some fun internet issues, wrapping up the product updates I was working on to go along with my FLF release got delayed, so I'll be keeping my FLF item out an extra day for you all.
For this round of Fifty Linden Friday, I made some sweet thanksgiving themed place settings. A pretty detailed plate combination topped with a mini white pumpkin, They come in four options; Mist, Fern, Gold & Blush, each with it's own embroidered quote on the napkin underneath.
To go along with this release, I updated 2 of my older releases to now be Uni-HUD compatible. The Silk Draped dining table and the Suede dining chair. I took on a bundle of requests for these items, including making the table space a little wider to fit plates better, making the bow slightly less symmetrical and adding an extra mirrored bow version in the pack. I also added extra animations to the chairs, which include drinking and eating animations complete with new prop items.
These updates, as with all Uni-HUD updates are free for anyone who already owns these items, simply hit up the redelivery terminal for your fresh copy.

The second round of this year’s RogueOlympics over on RogueBricks was about exploring the 'Internet'.
I had barely any time last week for the ROs - some three hours on a Sunday night was all that I could manage. So here's a simple little tale about ignoring the internet, I guess.
Can you recognise all the services that the minifigure is walking away from?
The RogueOlympics require you to stick to 101 elements or less so this little scene was built with a total of 98 bricks. It’s always great fun to work around those restrictions as it’s so different from most other contests, so of course I had to join.
Six more rounds to go, we barely started! Feel free to join in on the fun!
