L’Escurial est un cinéma indépendant d'Art et Essai situé au 11, boulevard de Port-Royal dans le 13e arrondissement de Paris. Inauguré en 1911 lors de la grande vague d'ouverture de salles de cinéma dans la capitale, c'est l'un des cinémas les plus anciens de la ville. Il fait partie de la société Les Écrans de Paris.

In the mid 1800’s many of the early colonists that came to Texas were Lutheran. The beginning of First Ev. Lutheran can be traced back to one of these colonists writing to the Seminary of Saint Christchona near Basel, Switzerland and complaining of a lack of spiritual leadership on the island.
This letter resulted in the seminary sending two Lutheran pastors to Texas.
These two pastors organized Galveston families into what would become, in the fall of 1850, the First German Evangelical Church.
In Galveston during that time, the center of culture was the Lyceum Hall, located on the corner of Winnie and Bath Avenue (25th Street). It was in the Lyceum that early services were held. This Lyceum still sits on the church grounds today and its cornerstone still reads,
Knowledge is Power
which reminds us of the great scriptural truth,
And the truth shall make you free
With the year 1900, first Lutheran would celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of its founding. The anniversary event never was held, for in September, Galveston suffered the great 1900 storm. The editor of the Tribune describes First Lutheran on that never-to-be-forgotten Sunday that followed September 8, 1900:
Go with me over heaps of ruined homes to the churches – the German Lutheran church has much damage to the interior furnishings, but the old Lyceum is in perfect order and is a shelter for the homeless and desolate.
During that difficult time – as today – First Lutheran played a part in serving the needs of the people of Galveston.
From the original building, a new structure was constructed in 1915. The building still stands today as a reminder of the earliest history of the congregation.

Back in the day you couldn't research photo locations by using the internet so you had to use books or magazines or the old fashioned do it yourself approach. So it was with a CTC Board issue in hand with inspiring photos by several western photographers such as John Benner that led me to this spot near Laguna in late October of 1999. Two trains in opposite directions take intermodal to their destinations.
Rows of blueberry bushes. Blueberry plants reach their full size and greatest yield in eight to twelve years… that planting can yield for 50 growing seasons or more.

Up on a hill beyond Glass Beach is a cemetery that dates back to the 19th century, a burial ground for workers at the McBryde Sugar Company's plantation. The small cemetery overlooking the ocean is filled with gravestones in Japanese and English that was only recently rediscovered.

Due to some fun internet issues, wrapping up the product updates I was working on to go along with my FLF release got delayed, so I'll be keeping my FLF item out an extra day for you all.
For this round of Fifty Linden Friday, I made some sweet thanksgiving themed place settings. A pretty detailed plate combination topped with a mini white pumpkin, They come in four options; Mist, Fern, Gold & Blush, each with it's own embroidered quote on the napkin underneath.
To go along with this release, I updated 2 of my older releases to now be Uni-HUD compatible. The Silk Draped dining table and the Suede dining chair. I took on a bundle of requests for these items, including making the table space a little wider to fit plates better, making the bow slightly less symmetrical and adding an extra mirrored bow version in the pack. I also added extra animations to the chairs, which include drinking and eating animations complete with new prop items.
These updates, as with all Uni-HUD updates are free for anyone who already owns these items, simply hit up the redelivery terminal for your fresh copy.

La caserne fut le théâtre d’une tentative de coup d’Etat par Paul Déroulède (02/09/1846 // 30/01/1914) en 1899, le jour de l’enterrement de Félix Faure (30/01/1841 // 16/02/1899). Paul Déroulède fut ensuite banni en Italie.

LA FIN DE L’HISTOIRE DE LA CASERNE
Le Tribunal aux Armées de Paris (TAP) s’installe à la caserne en 1999. Il fonctionne comme un tribunal ordinaire et concerne les infractions commises contre les forces armées françaises à l’étranger. Il est supprimé en 2011. Aujourd’hui, la caserne s’est vidée de la plupart des services qu’elle abritait, à l’exception du Centre d’Information et de Recrutement des Forces Armées (CIRFA).
Lime Kiln Point is a 36-acre day-use park set on the west side of San Juan Island. The park is considered one of the best places in the world to view whales from a land-based facility. Orca whales are common in the waters off Lime Kiln.
